All braid users should have a 12 x1 inch thick wooden dowel to wrap your line around when pulling snags. It prevents all dig and keeps you from breaking a rod and or getting braid cuts on your hands.

A) you catch weak fish that don't pull hard. B)your drag is really loose C)you don't have weeds in your lake where you pull up 5 lb bass with 10 pounds of wet weeds. D)You never set the hook into a stump. Either that or you are really lucky. I never use braid under 50 lb test on a baitcaster. It's only 12 lb diameter. It casts just as far as 30 and sometimes further because it digs less.

Did you watch the video ? Line diameter comes into play with lure action and type.Acording to his first statement I really don't think .001 inch means a thing. The first thing he said was not to choose line by how invisible it is.

I think he's also saying they don't pay attention to line anywhere near what we think they do.

Probably but I don't think it matters. When it goes underwater it supposed to stop glowing. I don't think line visibility means anything especially at night. I've fished straight braid at night with no issues catching fish.

Problem is bass pro has little in stock at their stores. I would order from sportsman's outfitters.com and get a Dobyns champion xp with a Lew's tournament pro .it's under 600. You also get free shipping and no tax .it will blow you away.

It's that special tanso tech graphite. I was not into graphite either but got one to try. So far so good. It's been awesome. At 4.9 oz it's stupid light.

Yeah but I'm 63 and high vis braid stands out way better in yellow to my eyes. Years ago I got away without it but no more.
