I ordered on last night. Hopefully it doesn't get canceled. I saw someone in one of my facebook groups messaged BassPro to find out if it was legit and they said they had a pricing error. It will most likely get canceled even though the payment was already made. Sucks.

You're exaggerating though. They don't allow "anything." I think it's funny how worked up some people get over things like this.

Seems like a bit of an overreaction to me.

I have an anchor but almost never use it. I primarily use an 8 foot fiberglass garden stake I got off Amazon.

The Pelican Catch 120 can handle a larger person well. It's light weight yet hold a large capacity. It's pretty stable too.

That's a pretty good one actually. Cattle tend to lay down before a storm front moves in. It's just a sign of weather to come which could give you an idea of what the bass might be doing.

I've listened to a couple podcasts and they went over what happened a little. That rule has been in place with MLF for a while but I think this was the first time the public heard it happening live. Some people were saying it was cheating but they just didn't know what the rules were.

It shouldn't be too different from how any other tourney would go up north. They only get so big and there are not as many, unless they are on a good smallmouth fishery.

They are not allowed to share info and if they did they managed to pass the polygraph test afterwards. They do have a rule in place that if anyone does receive any info then it must be shared to everyone else competing in order to keep an even playing field. That keeps people from breaking any rules and failing the polygraph.

I don't see it as being punished. They just guaranteed themselves money by going straight to the championship day. There is no guarantee that they would catch big enough bass for the heavy hitters and no guarantee that they would win the heavy hitters. Not only that, the anglers were the ones who decided on these rules.

My point was that he didn't get a sponsorship so he could use whatever he wants. Him using three different brands of graphs is a great example as to why he chose not to have a sponsorship. I think we were saying the same thing.

I missed the sarcasm, my bad. I was talking about that with some other guys. He doesn't have a lot of huge sponsors, most likely so he can use whatever he wants. The graphs are a great example of that.

There are a lot of people who buy the same equipment and don't catch fish like that. It's just another tool but you need to know how to use it. There's a reason why they're pros.

Those bass look so pale. Barely look like bass to me. I'm use to bass with a lot of color in my waters.

Being on Eufaula helps a lot too.

Catching a few huge fish in one day would be great. I'm not going to turn down catching a bunch of one pound bass either though. It obviously depends on the body of water and time of year as well.

With the new rules he could have fished it like a 5 fish tourney though. Getting 5 big bass is all that was needed to finish in the top half. Just look what Ike was able to do after skunking day 1.

I flipped my kayak in the last hour of a tourney last year. Not only was it embarrassing because it happened next to a young couple but I also had a bunch of my gear sink to the bottom of the lake. Spent that last hour of the tourney trying to fish out as much gear as I could.

I think it depends on the type of water your fishing more than being in the north or south. I'm in Iowa and use 50 pound braid for flipping jigs and throwing a frog. Most of the water I fish has heavy vegetation and lay downs. If I was on a rocky reservoir I probably would need that heavy of line though.

It’s definitely more entertaining than BASS right now. I’m watching both and BASS coverage is almost pure silence watching a guy fish. I need some commentary. Edit: It must have been different coverage because it changed up to have some commentary now. It was really boring before.
