Pedal Drive Kayak Questions
I use my pedal drive wherever I can. I use it on rivers but I have to be a lot more careful of the water I'm in. I fish the Mississippi River a lot and most of the time I find myself paddling because the weeds are too thick or the water is just too shallow. It's worth it to have on though.

That ALWAYS works....
Chatterbait and Ned Rig a for me.

What’s your fishing style
I use to think of myself as a power fisherman but the more I've learned the more I realize I'm a junk fisherman. I like to know how to fish multiple techniques so I can fish whatever the conditions are. I prefer to power fish but when that's not working I have no issues throwing a ned rig or wacky rig. I just do what it takes to catch them.

Fly-In Trip to Ontario
I don't plan on going there for a couple years yet. Need to get things planned out, find out who's going for sure and start saving up money.

Fly-In Trip to Ontario
Nestor Falls is at the top of my list right now. It's about a 9.5 hour drive and then fly into Lount or Kay Lake.

They do it with some stuff but not everything. They've always been one of the cheapest places to get Jack Hammers.

Fly-In Trip to Ontario
Anyone here have any experience doing a fly-in trip to Ontario for smallmouth? I'm starting to plan a trip and have never done it before. Been looking at Lount Lake through Nestor Falls.

B.A.S.S. KAYAK SERIES
Next weekend is the La Crosse event and we have 126 anglers competing. It should be a great event!

Tom Monsoor...
I have a tourney at La Crosse next weekend so I watched as much of the FLW coverage as I could. I was so much fun to watch and I loved that Tom won. I've been familiar with him for a while and it's always great to see a local win.

Fishing Wood Cover
I'm curious why you use a mono leader for that type of fishing?

Chatterbait trailers. Are they a necessity?
I prefer to have a trailer on mine but I have caught fish on them without a trailer. They are much more erratic in the water without a trailer. Sometimes that can be beneficial when a reaction bite is working.

Mississippi River- Pool 5a
Never fished pool 5 or 5a before. I have found some great bluegill fishing on pool 4 before though.

What Have We Become ?
All I see is a list of products at their highest price points. You're looking at a small percentage of people who spend that kid of money. I buy a lot of the same popular things but I never pay retail price. It doesn't take much to find good prices on the same or similar items. If you are concerned about things like this and feel the need to rant about it then I feel you worry about way too much.

Popular baits you have given up on
I find myself giving up on other brands of plastics and strictly going with Z-Man because I get tired of going through a bag of plastics in half a day. The Z-Man products last so much longer for me and I like that they float. I always have some sort of jig tied on but I never have luck with it. I keep trying but I sometimes think I should just give up on it.

I'm pretty sure Dick's is getting out of all the outdoor stuff because they own Field & Stream. My guess is that they want to direct those sale to that store and keep Dick's focused more on other sporting goods.

Lunkertext
Anyone familiar with Lunkertext? I just started seeing ads for it on Facebook. You sign up with your usual info but also a credit card. You receive a texts whenever there is a deal and I guess you just reply back with a number of the amount you want then it charged your card and they ship it out right away. Curious if it's legit or not.

Stake out poles
I bought a 3/4" x 8' Fiberstake fiberglass tree stake on Amazon for $10 a few years ago but they no longer carry them. It's worked well for me. This is the company that sold it on Amazon. Looks like they have different lengths available and the prices are great. https://www.amleo.com/fiberstake-25-year-fiberglass-tree-stakes/p/VP-FSXX/

I really doubt they are shooting themselves in the foot. It would not be wise of them to hold sales like they usually do if they don't have the product and they don't have the staff to handle an already increased work load. People are already complaining that their stock is down and their shipping is slow right now, could you imagine if they had a big sale on top of that. Having the sale when they can not handle it would be shooting themselves in the foot. They'll be just fine.

Wow. Bad time to need to restock on baits.
Everyone should listen to the BTL episode that was on this morning. They interview Ken Duke and talk about the tackle industry and what it's going through right now. It may answer some questions for some.

Wow. Bad time to need to restock on baits.
I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Dick's Sporting Goods online. They have buy 6 get 2 free on almost all baits right now. I saved over $20. I ordered yesterday and received half of it this morning already. The other half is suppose to come on Friday. Free, standard delivery too.

Jumping ship?
With the lack of fishing while everything was shutdown I have a feeling a lot of these guys want to fish as many tourneys as they can now. That was a long time to go without any major tourneys.

Berkley The General
They definitely sink faster. The creature hog is an awesome bait.

Can I buy a bulk order of soft plastic and resell them
You may want to do some serious research on resale before you do something like that. You'll get some opinions and some good info here but do some searching on some business law sites as well.

Berkley The General
I'm a big fan of the General and all of the Maxscent baits from Berkley.
