  1. Not sure is their products are any good but they have a good deal on their reels right now. Two for $99 right now. https://www.americantackleanglerproducts.com/products/2-pack-at-prostaff-casting-reels-left-right-hand-retrieve-available?fbclid=IwAR0_qm2r3ISi2GmjdJanPnXKT_sSPU0gXRWcQtrgXoAqOvr9po6-OPywOc8
  2. I've been putting bids on the baitcasting reels for weeks now and haven't won one for what I want to pay yet. Was hoping to get lucky with one for around $60 but they always end up being around $100.
  3. I trust his opinion but I also trust my experience with them. When they are vibrating he’s absolutely right. They don’t fit the way I like to fish a vibrating jig though.
  4. My issue with them is getting them to start vibrating right away and problems with them kinking over which doesn't let them vibrate at all. Once they're vibrating on the retrieve they work fine, but those two issues are deal breakers for me.
  5. I don’t want to come off as a jerk here, because I believe Siebert makes great products, but if there is a split ring involved then it’s inferior to the chatterbait.

    That’s not Wheeler’s problem though.
  7. I put in a Fishing Online order and got it within a few days. I've ordered from them a few time and haven't had issues. I wouldn't hold this one against them as they have a very solid reputation.

I saw that a non-boater was stirring the pot quite a bit on Facebook by calling Wheeler a cheater. She was also accusing other pros of cheating as well.
  9. The Iowa Hawkeyes are my favorite team and 21 was my jersey number when playing sports.
  10. Tackle Warehouse's 25 Days of Christmas sale has started.
  11. I would like to see some different lakes in different states but I also understand how tough scheduling can be. The cities have to be willing to work with BASS in order to hold an event, they just can't go wherever they want.
  12. I wouldn't get too caught up in comparing Lew's and Abu Garcia. They are basically the same thing. I believe they are made by the same manufacturer.

I'm a big fan of Strike King's Rage Craw. I like to use it on my Carolina Rig.
  14. I’ve never noticed but it makes sense since he lives in Michigan.
  15. That's a little low but if all you're bring with is tackle and some rods then you'll be fine. If you ever plan to add a fish finder and trolling motor then it can add up.
  16. Not sure how anyone could dislike KVD or how he fishes.
  17. I've been fishing kayak tournaments for 4 years now. It's getting bigger and bigger every year. There are so many more opportunities to fish tournaments now. You can find local tournaments that are more just for fun. There are regional tournaments that can be a bit more serious. You can try to fish for angler of the year in your state. There are national tournaments series like KBF, BASS Nation and Hobie. This is the time of year when all of the clubs and series are releasing their schedules and it's a good time to see what you want to fish next year. I've pretty much got a schedule planned out for all of next year already just fishing around Iowa. If you want to find clubs in your area I would join some of the kayak fishing groups on Facebook. That's the best source of information I know of. Kayak Bass Fishing and Kayak Bass Nation are two of the most popular groups.
  18. For someone who wants to keep costs down I recommend going with a good, stable kayak. You'll have to invest a decent amount of money up front but then you're basically done. Low maintenance and easy to store is the way to go. I recommend the NuCanoe Frontier or Pursuit if you want something really stable and customizable. There are plenty of other good options available as well, depending on your budget.
  19. This may be the first year I didn’t order from TW. Put in an order at fishingonline and another site. Saved just as much money, if not more, and avoided some hassles. Nice to finally see other competitive with sites.
  20. Unlikely. Lowrance is excluded.
  21. They’re legit. Popular tackle store for kayakers. I’ve ordered from them before.

  23. I think a lot of bodies of water get populated from flooding. The rest would be transfer from other animals or people.
  24. Walmart has the Daiwa Fuego CT 8.1:1 reel for $79.09 right now. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Daiwa-Fuego-CT-8-1-1-High-Speed-Left-Hand-Baitcast-Fishing-Reel-FGCT100XSL/832715993
