  1. I had a V2 that I added ipilot to. The worst part is the stow and deploy mechanism is garbage. I now have a terrova with ipilot. So much better and you can still use the pedal.
  2. I'd say at least 75% for me come on the initial drop. The way I primarily fish senkos is pitching to sparce cover and weed edges
  3. Need uses $20 Walmart Shakespeare rods so he couldn't feel anything anyways
  4. How much do the sahara and sedona weigh that you're looking at? for me I prefer a sub 8oz reel for a medium spinning rod. I use the 30 size Pflueger supreme and president XT. they have a faster gear ratio and are lighter than the normal Presidents.
  5. Mercury vessel view mobile is 50% off through the end of March. https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/gauges-and-controls/gauges-displays/vesselview-mobile/
  6. Weren't the Outbacks under $2k a few years ago? Looks like this new model is almost $3k.
  7. You can use brickseek to look up prices and inventory at your nearby targets and Walmarts. https://brickseek.com/
  8. we use 8lb mono for wacky senkos around lily pads all the time. mostly on the edge or in pockets
  9. most 50lb braid is equal to 12lb diameter mono. why would it be OK to use 12lb mono but not 50lb braid? doesnt make sense. dont get hung up on the test rating, diameter is more important. that being said I like 40lb braid best. 30 still feels too thin to me on a casting reel. However, most of my medium casting rods are spooled with 12lb mono.
  10. I might use my cabelas club points towards the Mojo. I like that it's going to be a green rod instead of the purple
  11. Definitely get a medium if you want to fish senkos. I'd suggest paying a little more for an eyecon or premier 66mf
  12. It's $15 for a yearly license. It'll take you 30 years at the current price to break even. Most of us won't be living in this broken state by then.
  13. I don't know about the reels you listed but I haven't found a medium or medium light rod that didn't balance nicely with a 30 size pflueger supreme.
  14. Moving to MLF?
  15. I buy mine online as well and save as a PDF I can print as many times as I want or pull up on my phone
  16. I have the 7mlf eyecon rigging rod and it's good for ned, drop shot, smaller walleye and panfish jigs, grubs. I wouldn't throw senkos or anything over a 1/4 oz on it. I use a 66mf or 7mf for that.
  17. I have the Dig In anchor with the motor mount bracket. purchased from TW during one of their 15% off sales https://www.diginanchors.com/optin26378503
  18. I would stay away on weekends after memorial day. Pleasure boaters are more of a problem than fishing pressure
  19. delavan and geneva both have smallmouth and largemouth and right over the border
  20. Banner Marsh is pretty much like any other weedy lake, t rigs, spinner baits, etc. Powerton is a cooling lake and I don't think you're allowed to use a kayak on it. Spring lake has good numbers of musky. Peoria lake is just part of the illinois river which is overrun with carp. Google the Peoria carp hunters and on YouTube. Only I think might be illegal is Alabama rigs. Also if you ever get a boat, most central illinois lakes are 25hp max.
  21. currently I keep them in the original packages and separate by type using gallon zip loc bags in a duffle. but I'm going to give these flambeau satchels a try this year
  22. I really like my 7mhf premiers. I primarily use them for big spinner baits and #6 in line spinners for pike. I also really like the 66mf spinning premiers for wacky rigs and other plastics. I never found a mojo I liked enough to buy. I also recommend the eyecon rods if you need a finesse rig.
  23. since you're looking at St Croix, look at the Premier line. Similar in price to the Mojo Bass but made in USA. yes it is SCII graphite, but that can be a good thing. they have a softer more traditional tip than the bass rods. the 6'6 medium fast is one of my favorite rods and I just picked up a second one.
