  1. I sold my BPS JM platinum. Not really all that refined at the $200 price point. The SLX is probably smoother.
  2. What do you plan on using the rod for?
  3. I have to say that I did not end up liking this rod. It was too stiff in the tip to cast the frog as far as I wanted. The search continues.
  4. I own and Expride 72MH and a Dobyns champion, and I feel that the Expride is much more sensitive. I also don't like the full handle on the dobyns but that is my fault for ordering it.
  5. I've ordered a 610ML Expride for mine. Should be a nice small ned rig and trout setup.
  6. I need to wait until Christmas, but indeed it is! IMO it is as smooth or smoother then the Excense. What rod will you be pairing it up with?
  7. The only rods I have ever broken were my fault, but fair enough. In that case I would recommend the Diawa Tatula, Megabass Levante, or Dobyns Sierra.
  8. Best option is a Shimano Expride but will run you $225 on sale.
  9. Oh lol, wasn't aware of the spelling mistake. I see what you mean about the gears making it considerably more then that.
  10. I'd look at the tutula. Most sensitive rod under 200 IMO, and can be found for like 110 at sportsmans outfitters.
  11. I would put a Curado K on an Expride. They are both black too, which looks sick together.
  12. I find the Chronarch to be a great caster, but it feels kind of hollow to me. My next reel purchases will be an XG Bantum and and XG Met(when the new one drops).
  13. How is the balance of the 76? I’ve thought about that medium spinning as a ned/wacky rod but am probably going to try a loomis 842 instead. I hate a 72MH expride, but it feels a little short for swinging hooksets sometimes.
  14. How do you like that spinning model? What have you use the 76mh for?
  15. 7MHF(really a MF) Bionic blade with #12YZ hybrid or mono is what works well for me. Really allows the bass to load up and then I can just do a sweep set.
  16. Have your read the tackletour review? http://www.tackletour.com/reviewgloomisnrxdsr.html
  17. Shimano is still on sale but it doesn’t say so until you make the purchase and get the email. Basically only megabass does not discount.
  18. I've thrown them on a bionic blade 7MH(basically MF) with 14 pound suffix siege and really liked that combo around grass.
  19. The sensitivity is amazing, I find the reel seats a bit cramped though.
  20. I have 3 exprides and while they are great, the reel seat is not that comfortable.
