  1. I used a Dobyns Sierra 692 last year and quite liked it, especially for the low price TW had them for last winter.
  2. Given the production issues across the world right now, they may not be re-released at all this year, if I had to guess.
  3. I am planning to uses a 7'6'' Heavy Expride for this technique.
  4. 72MH...great T-rig rod. Slack line sensitivity is exceptional.
  5. MD is a bigger overall reel make for targeting larger species.
  6. Reels all shimano, rods are mostly Okuma TCS for reaction baits and Shimano Expride for bottom contact. But G Loomis and Megabass rods definitely have my interest in the future
  7. I heard early summer http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=82895&start=15
  8. I have been thinking the same thing. Last year, I had separate spinnerbait, chatterbait, and buzzbait rods. This year, I am going to just use 1 rod for those techniques.
  9. I got 4-0, 4-8, and 4-14 last year. Feel the same way with the 5lb mark, but I feel that those fish are there.
  10. The picture is Chris Zaldain, he is my favorite angler. I've never fished a tournament.
  11. I caught 2 new PBs last year, but I am still a little short of the 5 pound mark mark, which I really want to crack this year. I see 3 main approaches I could take: -stick to the baits I have most confidence in (spinnerbait, frog, etc.) and throw them hard, look to ctahc numbers and stumble into a big one -focus on jig fishing and glidebaits to target bigger fish -Mostly stick to what I am confident in but with some experimentation(basically a combination of the first 2) What do you guys think?
  12. Buzzbaits, whopper ploppers in my hands. I owned that rod for a few days before returning it.
  13. Starting to see the ponds de ice is getting me in the mood..lol. I feel like it will still be a month before I can get out though. How's it looking for you guys?
  14. what casting models do you have? i really wish they still made the first gen EMTF
  15. I have been pleased with both my Curado DC at $250 and my Chronarch MGL at $280. Personally I would get a Bantam before another one of the other two if the price was right. Digitaka has the Bantam for 261.
  16. I started to experience this too last year. Before then it was all spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, frogs, and lipless. Tough to beat a 1/4 texas rigged craw/beaver.
  17. Is there going to be a new Curado 70 or equivalent coming out at the classic?
  18. +1 on feeling soother then the K. On mine the handle tolerance is noticeably tighter.
  19. yea I don't understand the massive price increase, no thanks lol. They look completely different though. All murdered out and sexy af.
  20. I think the DC system is overhyped which can lead to disappointment. At first I was a bit disappointed until I used it more, now I am loving the sound and the smoothness if the casts.
