  1. most will probably say the wiggle wart, i personally like the excalibur xr and xrk series which the mold is now made by booyah but still not the same. i also like the excalibur xcs series as well.
  2. while there is a rhythm to walking baits sometimes i think it's the little change or imperfection in the walking that trigger bass to strike also not to bring another question into this but for those wondering what to throw when trying to cover an area when the water is choppy i throw a buzzbait
  3. any idea how deep these bad boys would dive?
  4. i'm in but i know it might suck for someone to ship to me
  5. for me poppers are fished when the water is a little more choppy and for a specific target, spooks are for calm water and for searching an area
  6. storm twitch stick? might require a fair bit of tuning though sorry just saw the part about the twitch sticks
  7. okay so i have found a sale on the abu garcia vertias winch series in the 7'11" H/M i'm wondering if anyone has ever used it how they like it and if i is a good rod for throwing 6xd's, arashi deep 18's and that kind of stuff thanks in advance guys
  8. This year my most productive baits were a chatterbait fished around laydowns as well as the ned rig. i also did well on a buzzbait and t rigged worms
  9. i love my daiwa tatula type r 8.1:1 and i also love my daiwa ballistic rod
  10. my basic plan for 2017 is to find out more about my home lake. i think it's time i invest in some electronics and try to find out about the structure on my lake, i also want to focus on throwing baits more instead of retying so much or switching what rod is in my hand.
  11. if you have an old broken rod turn it into a line spooler instead of buying one i can post pics of mine tonight when i get home
  12. a little package showed up at the door last night i spooled it up with 15lb mono
  13. my t3 ballistic came in over the weekend
  14. chatterbaits are quite different than spinnerbaits and one of my favourite baits, i agree with brett hite in his way of thinking that a chatterbait is more similar to a squarebill than a spinnerbait, but i also think they are similar to a lipless crank mainly because of the way they are fished. The thing about chatterbaits is they are meant to imitate a baitfish profile but have a vibrating blade attached to the head, this blade gives off vibration so the bass can locate it a little easier. the main place people throw a chatterbait is in and around the grass, they can also be fished around laydowns if you are fishing the right bait (sk rage blade). chatterbaits are something that are normally fished slow but quick retrieves can work as well (if the bait stays down in the water column. one of the main things with chatterbaits which is similar to squarebills, is deflection, if a squrebill hits a rock and deflects you normally get a reaction bite. if a chatterbait is in the grass and you rip is out and you normally get a reaction bite. i also fish them on the same rod a 7' MH/M rod i feel that normally when you don't feel the vibration of the chatterbait blade you have a fish on or some grass fouled up the blade so i tend to set the hook and for me it has helped me land roughly 95% or the fish that hit it. now most of this information is a combination of brett hite's philosiphy and my own findings and personally my way of thinking is why not listen to someone who has probably one the most of his money because of that bait alone.

  23. by the 200 i do you mean the citica 200i? if so i have it i like the reel itself but only after i changed what i was using it for. i started off throwing bladed jigs with 15 lb fluro i could not get more than 30 ft out of a cast regardless of if there were no brakes on the dail was set to 1 i could not get more than 30 ft so i tinkered a bit and changed what i throw with it. i now have it spooled with braid as my backing and 10 lb fluro as my main line and now i love it. casts are easily hitting 50+ft with crankbaits. if you are looking at the curado series in the 200 and the 70 i would say it depends on what you're doing, the 200 is a larger spool so i would say anything long casting is good to throw like crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, ect. basically anything you want to chuck far. for the 70 i would think it's more limited to pitching and flipping maybe some frogs or something you want to target cast
