Was reading the tournament results from a BASS open last early spring. Winner wasn't a pro. He said he told his wife "I'd like to enter that tourny and throw an A-rig around". She said "Why don't you?" He did...and won. Not all his fish came on the A-rig, but the big one(s) did.

I can't say I have a favorite brand, but Zorro is up there. My tip- buy a Zorro short arm w/ the single colorado blade and throw it where you would normally throw a squarebill. They have a wire weedguard and can make it through the sticks.

Like @Pat Brown, I like Shad colors in nearly all water conditions. I've read bass see chartruese as a bright white, but bass can't tell me for sure. My favorite in situations like yours is chartreuse shad by Lucky Craft. Hard to beat a BDS1 or BDS2 in Summer.

I'm a big fan of the water based clean/protect detail sprays. It is a bonus that they work on your line as well. KVD line/lure/boat is one, but my favorite is the Meguiars 'ceramic' in the lime green bottle.
