  1. I know line is important, but a 200yd spool of 15lb Tatsu is roughly the same price as that Aird-X.
  2. In my Joe Pesci voice- "We got ourselves a freakin' court reporter over here!"
  3. I have cleared a few balsa baits that had rash/hook holes, but it was mainly to protect the balsa. Baits catching fish with most of the paint gone show that action is more important than finish.
  4. I'll usually go around the pond pitching my creature bait or jig to any visible cover. Lizard would be a good choice right now. I'll then go back around the pond, churning up the water with a spinnerbait/chatterbait/squarebill.
  5. Yea, it was supposed to be 95% coverage here in Tulsa, but didn't get near as dark as when a severe thunderstorm rolls through
  6. Yes...just a split ring. Can't see how it wouldn't behave like a hinged head if you pegged the sinker.
  7. I thought about picking up some of the ringed Gammy EWG's, but I much prefer the G-lock gammy ewg's for the wider gap and better hook point angle/height in relation to the hook eye. I plan on making my own ringed hooks using the g-lock, just haven't got around to it. With a ringed hook, I'm thinking a swinghead is a bobber stopper away
  8. I thought they were discontinued, but I found them at TW. The baits I picked up were indeed Duel (JDM Yozuri). They come in a 95 as well, which I've thrown more than the 110. These would be a great addition to anyone's jerkbait arsenal 👍 110mm- https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Duel_Hardcore_Minnow_Flat_SP_Jerkbaits_110mm/descpage-HMF.html?from=gpmax&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5cOwBhCiARIsAJ5njuZ5hjQZbOM4V6By9A676ZOk2qIRmsy783BsDIbzZdcGdmolfQpsFHAaAgKwEALw_wcB 95mm- https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=20&searchtext=Duel+flat+95+sp
  9. I look at the zero adjuster like I do default settings on my tv or phone. A good start, but you can adjust to suite your needs.
  10. I miss Sportsman's Warehouse. Bass pro/Cabelas ran them out of Oklahoma 😕
  11. Celebrated my grandpa's 97th birthday last weekend. Really great to spend time with him. We are 51yrs apart.
  12. In '16, Edwin Evers used 'My' spinnerbait to help win the Classic, now we have Christie also promoting my flo red kicker bladed spinnerbait. 20 years ago they were hard to find like that stock...I made my own usually. They rule in the spring.
  13. I have read a few that were comical. I may have an immature sense of humor- I chuckle when I read 'green pumpkin chart'. If I rip a green pumpkin chart, I'm throwing my underwear away
  14. Picked up a couple of spools from Ali-x for my Tatula 80's. A 6.2g Gomexus spool (black) and a 7.2g KKR spool (red). Gomexus- $20 KKR- $28.
  15. The Christmas sale deals on fluoro have been excellent the past couple years, so I've purchased from BaitWRX, TW, and Omnia. Japan sites have cheap fluoro...might check Japan lure shop.
  16. Was on facebook this a.m., and there was an add for the 'Big Bass Bash' on lake of the Ozarks. $100k for big bass. One of the very first comments was 'Is FFS allowed?'. 'Yes' was the reply, folliwed by a guy saying he wished they had T's where FFS isn't allowed. If you aren't an FFS wizard, you are donating your money if you fish this big bass tourney.
  17. This was the talk at the expo. I didn't know Duckett was co owner of mlf. I heard he ruined it by changing the rules/format.
  18. 5 or 6 years ago, 'Fisherman's Source' sent me an email about clearance Yozuri baits. It was weird...hadn't ordered from them before and don't know how they got my email. Oh well...$4.97 Yozuri jerkbaits sound good, and I like the flat sides. Picked up several 110's and 95's. Who knew I was scoring one of Hamner's classic winning baits 💥💪😎
  19. Yes...the h20x is a great and inexpensive copy of the Aruku 👍
  20. I have large hands as well, and only use my 80's for moving baits...no palming.
  21. Red has always been great on grand, like in Texas lakes. You see a couple of guys knew this.
  22. I have not held a '21 zillion, but it is crazy smooth, like my tat 80. Throw a spool on there from Ali-X, and it should hang with nearly anything. Hyperdrive changed the game. Now, you pay more for a higher model only for tighter tolerances. Aftermarket spools have become inexpensive and perform very well.
