Yes, but I invested in a telescopic lure retriever that extends 18'. I also use a plug knocker that I have tethered with twine. I still buy cranks in multiples of 3 for some reason.
  2. You want the 844 imo. Years ago I used 2 844 GLX's for all 1/4-1/2oz jig and worm duties.
  3. The conveyor belt got it. TW puts a large green sticker on rod tubes that says 'do not convey'.
  4. I'll add that I think Bill Lewis proved years ago that rattles attract fish. It's interesting that with lipless cranks and jerkbaits, rattles are overwhelmingly prefered, but guys will say with jigs /worms it doesn't matter 🤔
  5. I always insert a glass rattle in my trailer 👍. I want that subtle tick.
  6. No. They are the most expensive.
  7. Jerkbait - M or ML generally depending on bait weight.
  8. Surgery tomorrow . I need a metal plate and screws apparently.
  9. Broke my arm this a.m. breaking up a dog fight.
  10. 904 mbr if you want to stay with a longer rod. 873 is great, but not as versatile as an mbr.
  11. Nice work. Jackall has a BFS A-rig I was just looking at. https://japanlureshop.com/jackall-peaceton-100-0-9g.html
  12. I have a zillion with a 'stuck' sideplate. Looks like it was dropped and a sliver of plastic is preventing the downward sideplate slide of Daiwas. Sending it off is on this years to-do list.
  13. Saw on the news that a guy got struck by lightning, and a nearby surveilance camera caught it on tape. I'm like "I see him in the bolt!" So I took a pic of the TV screen.
  14. Escaped Black Friday and all of December without a tackle purchase. Then I saw the Techna PX 6' Medium spinning rods marked down to $79 ( from $199). So I ordeted one. Was so impressed with its light and crispy blank, I ordered another. These are 1/8-3/4oz XF tapered mediums, so definitely Jig/Worm rods. First Fenwicks as well.
  15. I have some frittsides, but have limited time with them. Most of my flatsides have been around a while. -WEC/ John Hott or Black label 'Hicky' and 'Mutt' (peanut in black label line) -Evergreen Flat Force 4 -Lucky Craft KJ Flat and Flat Mini -Bomber Flat A
  16. Nm.
  17. This is inspiring. I'd be good with my rods from 20yrs ago (IMX/GLX) but not my Lightning rods/Quantum Tour Edition rods from the '90s.
  18. All manufacturers are constantly trying to increase margins. Loomis GLX was redesigned in '16 and they swapped the titanium guides for stainless steel and seemingly no one caught it.
  19. That fish looks like it's been in a concentration camp!
  20. Give it a whirl and let us know 👍
  21. Sweet. I was just checking out the 'RV' drift fry on JLS while putting an order together. It has peaked my interest....
  22. Tackle Warehouse has an extra 20% off all clearance rods and reels. Lots of good $100 rods and reels listed. Ark Tharp, Veritas PLX, and St. Croix Bass X are all worthy rods @ $100. Abu Jordan Lee casting reel @ $99 looks nice. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-CLEARANCEPP.html
  23. Looks like I'll be doing the hot water trick. Thanks to all that replied.
  24. Pulled out my tubs of plastics, and inspected some baits. Kinked baits in nearly every bag. I'm wanting to iron them out (maybe literally) and put them in 3700's for long storage. Mainly just baits that are prone to this happening, such as ribbon tails, creature baits, etc. I've read about dudes boiling them, but I thought I coulld lay them out and iron them (low heat with parchment paper cover). Thoughts?
  25. It might be. If so, they mislabeled the pic.
