Kietech Crankin' Football Jig
Japan is keeping this one to themselves. Saw it while surfing JLS (my favorite bathroom site). I like what I'm seeing in this head design. I bet it walks around with a slow steady retrieve. https://japanlureshop.com/keitech-crankin-football-jig-head.html

Upsizing Fall LMB
I watched an episode of 'the bass pros' tv show years ago where gary klein won an event pitching a jig to decaying milfoil. Gary said he refined his pattern by only targeting the brown, decaying milfoil because it gave off more heat.

Do you find buzzbaits "fussy"? And what's your Love-Hate bait?
Why couldn't Zman just put a freakin' keeper on that flashback minnow...like the wire hook type. I only have a few buzzers that could use updating. Back in the day, a good buzzer was made by tying it to your truck's sideview mirror to break in.

Lure Choice Based on Fish behavior
I'd speed up my retrieve first, and then go to another bait if no takers. I think 'you need to make a change' is the correct answer, and will require some trial and error.

Lipless cranks and the LC LVR
I honestly don't throw traps much anymore, but this cold snap has me rummaging through my tackle. I have a bunch of Lucky Craft LVR's....all purchased on sale at one time or another. They are thin and don't thump like an excalibur or RES. Does anyone use the LVR's and when do they shine? I was thinking in really cold water they could be the ticket.

C'mon G Loomis! Where's your BFS rods?
The 841 imx-pro cbr fits the bfs crank niche. I want, but don't need one.

Steez SV TW100….
I was hoping they could make it more narrow. Looks maybe a little skinnier, but I'd need to hold it.

G. Loomis IMX-PRO 802 C TWR rod question
Went to look at the specs of the imx twr. With TW new website, you just have to guess what technique each rod is for...they don't list the technique that each technique specific rod is for . Looks to be the 6-8"M fast 1/4-3/8oz, and I don't see a croix' rod that is similar.

Florocarbon line test
It is an interesting watch. I have not tried the line that was deemed 'best overall'

Why is this color hard to find?
Red is deadly. Been fishing red baits long before I knew about craws turning red. When I hit the fishing forums in '01, I read that red traps were big in Texas. Then I discovered the spinnerbait with the flo red colorado 'kicker' blade, which were hard to find (now every company makes one). You definitely should add one of those spinners if you don't already have one.

Megabass Destroyer P5 F0-66X Siglett (BFS comparison)
While I don't have the siglett, I have a yamaga blanks 69b that I use for ultra light moving baits. I wouldn't even attempt to set the hook on anything with it. Like fishtank said, I'd keep it for the baits you've successfully used, and add a rod with a little more backbone for micro jigs and tiny t-rigs. I want to try the new phenix bfs rod, but I haven't used enough bfs sticks to steer you towards what you are looking for.

How are mass produced crankbaits painted?
That's a great video...I thought there was no way they were all hand painted. Those workers were movin'!

How are mass produced crankbaits painted?
I'm a creative 'right brain' person, but I can't envision how they pull this off....especially the more complex patterns.

Worm Stories
My worm as a kid in the late 80's/early 90's was the gene larew 8" hooktail worm in tomato red. All gene larew stuff was hand poured at that time, and the worms had a flat bottom. Durability was worse than a senko...2 fish per bait if you were lucky. We judged a day's fishing by how many worms you went through. A good day = a 20pk of worms. I was majorly disaappointed when larew went to injection molding in '93(ish) . The worms were no longer super soft, and the tomato color wasn't the same.

Craziness - Bladed jig the best bass bait?
I don't know about 'best', but the bladed jig gets the nod for best engineered bait imo. When I picked up a chatterbait at a boat show when it came out, I didn't say 'why didn't I think of that?'. How many people out there knew a jig would behave like that whith a blade and split ring attached? Someone smarter than me.
