Nizpro Supercharger for 250 SHO
I assume you are running the Yamaha 250 since that's what the kit is made for but don't see anything about what kind of boat. I don't know much about the Yamaha's so I hope it has a lower unit rated for the speeds you could possibly be running. Then again, for $13K, the kit may come with a LU. Life can get real exciting if the lower units blows out at 80+ mph and you learn what a bat turn is at that speed. If you are not sure what I mean by "blowing out", Lower units can create a large air bubble, the faster you go, the larger the bubble gets until it reach the point to where it can make the LU loose contact with the water. When that happens, the boat does an abrupt U-turn (known as a bat turn) and more than one person has been ejected from their boat when it does. I will say you are in for an awakening when you sit behind the wheel of a 450hp boat the will run in the 90's to 100's. With a stock 225 Ficht on my 20' Javelin has a dry hull weight of 1,600 pounds and it runs in the mid 70's on a good day with gear and two people. With one of my 325hp loopers on it, it runs in the low to mid 80's with gear and two people. With a 460hp 3.3 looper, it easily runs in the mid 90's with two people and gear, and that's not doing any special setup other than the same setup I use for the 325hp motor. Even run the same prop. The 325, 3.0 motor turns a custom tuned 26" Raker approx. 6,500, to 6,800 rpm the 3.3 460hp motor turns the same prop approx. 8,000 rpm. (The 225 runs a 26" Raker also, but it won't turn that prop). If I put the work I put into setting up the 3.0 into one of the 3.3's, it would probably break 100 with normal fishing load and two people. My dad was the only person that would ever ride in it at top speed anyway. Understand also, I'm not a stranger to hot rod boats and how to set them up. My boat's hull has been blue printer and a special texture on it's contact surfaces (What little there is at those speeds), and there has been a lot of work getting the engine height, setback and prop tuned to perfection. Not sure how much setup work you have into your boat, but getting it dialed in is critical for a fast, good handling boat. Finding the right set back, since you probably already have a hydraulic jack plate, and unless out of the box props have changed, you can plan on having a few tuned along the way until you get the magic setup. That's the thing about speed, once you get used to it, you can never go fast enough. That's why a keep my lead sled and don't want a Bullet or Allison or any of those hydro rockets, you never quit trying to get that extra couple mph out of them. I just noticed you said you are running a 21' Skeeter. They say standard hull weight is 2,100, so that's probably enough boat that wakening that motor up with a super charger would make a fun ride and not to over the top scary. It will be fast, but should not be scary fast. The couple of Skeeters I've driven were great handling boats and pretty quick hulls.

Where to sell and how to market
Too bad you didn't build it as a 6.5 Creedmoor, they are much more popular, a 6.8 greatly limits the market. Great for hogs and close range deer rifle or personal defense but most had rather have the 5.56 or 7.62 for heavy fire power and kinda shy away from the in between stuff. As mentioned, since it's not a name brand, that's a turn off to most. Then you look at the fact you can buy whole ARs now for less than what a good barrel cost, it's going to take that special person to even want to buy it, and yep, you will loose a bunch. My son just bought a 5.56 AR for his son for $356, and friend of his owns a range and has FFL so it didn't cost him anything to transfer it', Hard to compete against something like that. Unless you just need the money, I would just put it away. As mentioned, it's getting to be popular in the northeastern states to ban them anyway.

PayPal Scam
There are a couple of version of those have been going for several years. I probably get one at least once a year. There are a couple of similar ones going for other things, I even get one on my bank. If I have any questions about the validity of them, I would never answer back on the email sent, no company is usually going to ask for personal info that way. I close it out and log directly into the account involved to see if there are any massages or problems. Then I call or email the company, most have fraud alert lines, and notify them I received a fraud message. Some ask to have it forwarded to them, others just warn to delete it and DO NOT respond to it.

Any Native American Flute players/makers
Making Native American Style flutes is my latest adventure, and I don't even know how to play them. A couple of months ago I came across someone playing one made out of PVC pipe and thought that would be a great thing for the great grandkids. Wouldn't cost a dollar to make one. Well, it cost less than a dollar but my god at the research and knowledge required to get this far, and me being the anal perfectionist I am, I'm not going to do anything just OK. I finally made my first wooden ones this past week. First one from a pine 2x4 scrap laying under my boat and in key of F4, just to get the process figured out. Then I made one from a piece of popular in G4. It turned out looking pretty nice and sounded good so I broke out some walnut I've had for over 30 years. That one really looks nice and plays nice, but a bit bright being walnut and key of F#4. I've ordered Eastern Cedar to make some, It supposed to be more mellow than the walnut. Both granddaughters have already laid claims to the Popular and Walnut ones. All three of these were 7/8" bore and I've got one 1 1/8" bore out of a close grain pine in key of C4 but that one ain't playing so well. First three lower notes are very weak and airy so that one has been a challenge, once it gets to the top three holes, it plays loud and clear. I've been giving PVC flutes to anybody that would have one trying to get rid of those. I made about 15 learning how to get them right, now I've just got to figure out what to do with those. The other problem, I only have two granddaughters and two great granddaughters and will probably end up making dozens of the dang flutes perfecting the process, and I'm not doing this to sell them, so I will have wood flutes coming out of my ears like the PVC ones.. UPDATE: The block (bird) on top is traditionally held on with a piece of leather/rawhide that wraps around it and the flute and ties it on so my wife went shopping for some after church yesterday. I have just been tying them on with boot lace until I could come up with some. She came in with several different types of leather lacing and different kinds of beads she said she thought they needed. I'm thinking Wow!, normally she show little or no interest in any of my little projects. My granddaughter is there to get the walnut one and helping my wife put the beads and stuff on and my wife tells here, "there is a lot of interest on face book for it". ?????? I asked how did it get on face book? She had posted a picture of it showing here friends how nice it looked and how good it sounded, and then goes into telling me how she thinks she can sell them. I was shocked she even showed an interest, and come to find out, she had been practicing and learning how to play one. She was not real happy when I told here if she was planning on trying to sell them, she had better get out there and learn how to make them, because I was not getting into that.

Things are getting really weird
I think most are born with that inner sixth since, but when young, we don't realize it and fail to develop it. How many times have you seen or done something and be positive it's something you've seen or done before. I used to regularly get visions of things that were about to happen and it would freak people out. I don't know how many times when driving, I would have a vision pop in my head of something I was going to see further down the road. The first date I had with my now wife, we were driving on the road to my house, (I lived in the country) and told her there's a rattle snake crossing the road about a half mile ahead, it totally freaked her out when a 1/2 mile ahead we came to that rattle snake crossing the road. I used to do stuff like that all the time, and your friends start giving you that look, and moving away from you when you tell them something is about to happen, and it does. I've been saved several speeding tickets by visions of a state patrol or traffic cop running a radar ahead. When I got to where they were at, it was like I had seen an exact photo of them sitting there. I can't count the times I've been at the lake and have something tell me I needed to go to a certain spot, get there and just tear them up where a school will be there feeding. I've driven as far a 15-20 miles to places that I normally rarely fish and do this. The most and big bass I have ever caught was on one of the inner feelings. A friend and I had been night fishing under a bridge for white bass and stopped to get a little shut eye in the car. Just as the light was starting to break the horizon, Something kept telling me I need to be fishing a water dog along the rip rap of the road bed at the bridge. I got my friend up (he knew I got these hunches/visions and trusted them so he didn't complain) and started throwing water dogs. In the next couple of hours, we caught 28 bass that weighed between six and nine pounds. Have never had a stringer even close to that again. I've gotten into schools where we catch 30-50 smaller bass on those hunches, but never a school of big ones like that. That was also back in the late 60's when Clarks Hill had large numbers of big bass and no where near the fishing pressure they get now. Now, you are lucky to catch one eight pounder a year.

Old Glory is flying high!
Love to see it. Don't have a nice, tall pole like yours but always keep one flying from a pole attached to the house. When you visit my house, there is no doubt patriotism lives here, everywhere you look.

Electric Starter vs. Manual
Charging system for battery that's running electronics. Electric start motors usually come with a charging system, manual start systems usually don't

Electric Starter vs. Manual
My 9.9 will start with a half pull on the cord, but it sucks having to reach around and pull it. When I have the option, it's always electric start. Heck, even my backpack leaf blower is electric start. With electric start, you always have the option to add stick steering down the road. Steering without electric start really sucks.

Starting NEW Outboard after 11 years storage
It was most likely test run by the dealer before delivery to the customer, meaning there would have been fuel left in the system. 11 year old fuel can create major issues and unless you know motors pretty good, or have a friend that does, it will probably require a trip to the shop. Definitely will require a new water pump impeller and a through inspection of all lubrication points to make sure the grease hasn't dried out, and all rubber parts will need to be inspected to make sure they have not become dry and brittle. All wiring and hoses in the boat and motor need to be inspected to make sure those pesky little grey furry creatures haven't moved in and made it a mouse condo. A new set of tires on the trailer will be required also.

Things are getting really weird
Always listen to that little voice in your head, it usually don't lie. Normally, I would have never paid that thing any attention, especially enough to stop, turn around and go back to it. Then to actually get out of the truck and pick it up, normally that would never happen, but the way it was positioned, it was as though it was looking straight at me and saying please get me. Anyway, it made my great granddaughter very happy to get her Leo back. As for the James, never fished that far down very often, but have caught loads of bass on outgoing tides using a flipping stick and dropping the baits right against the downward side of obstructions. The bass would put there nose almost right against them.

Paypal
The thing about ebay you have to be careful of the counterfeits. Batteries for instance, I will not buy any ebay battery, most are fake. 18650's being advertised with stupid amounts of Mah's, when the most a reputable battery can have is about 3,500, most are around 3,200 and most ebay ones have small 1,600mAh cell and they call it 10,000. LED Flashlights saying the have 12,00 lumins when they are closer to 500. A 1000w watt LED grow light advertised for $60 but in reality, its a 125 watt. A seller jacks his numbers up to make his look better than someone else's, then the next guy has to beat both of those. If there is an popular item, you can bet the Chinese are probably going to counterfeit if they can make a buck on it. As you can see, having made of 700 purchases in the past two years, I buy a lot off ebay, mostly small electronic parts and other types of parts, but there is a whole lot I won't buy from there.

Paypal
I rarely buy anything off Amazon, because of the way they try forcing you into becoming a prime member (or what ever they call it). If I buy from Amazon, is solely because I couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere else.

Paypal
First off, I think doing much on ebay would be tough without paypal. In the past two years I have over 700 ebay transaction, all have been through paypal. Most of the time, I click on buy it now, that sends me to paypal, I click one more time and it's bought. Some items, I click on buy it now, and it's bought. The next screen is saying thank you. Now for the other side of paypal. Several years ago I had paypal and they tried to put the royal screws to me. People could do transactions as guest and someone in California politely sent themselves $1,200 off my account and since my account is backed with and AmEx, luckily since there was not that much money, it charged to my AmEx. I immediately contacted them and they said there was nothing I had to do, they would handle it. I thought, right!!. I called AmEx and reported it as a fraudulent charge. I guess that p****d payplal off and they reported by to AmEx, that I had authorized the transaction, so AmEx denied my claim. I called Paypal back and they basically blew me off. I contacted AmEx again and told them paypal lied, I had not approved the charges and explained what paypal did. Three days later, AmEx approved my claim and dropped the charges off my card. I closed my paypal account and said I would not use them again. Which that has made a liar out of me because, a couple of years ago, I finally gave in and opened another account. The hassles of trying to buy on the Web without paypal is just not worth it. A lot of times, I won't buy from a company that does not have paypal as a method of payment, just to keep from jumping through all the hoops required when having to use a card.

Things are getting really weird
Where I live, it’s a 25 mile drive to any major populated area. On the way home from a doctor’s appointment the other day, about eight miles from the house I spotted something about 10ft off the highway. I turned around and went back to see, and it was a child’s small stuffed lion, just sitting there, and I had a strange feeling like it was trying to tell me something. It had rained the day before and the lion was still dry so I knew it hadn’t been there long. Don’t know why, I just had this strange feeling, but I picked it up and took it home with me. I sat it on the dryer as I came in the door. This morning, my daughter asked why our great granddaughter’s lion was sitting on the dryer and if she had been there, because she didn’t go anywhere without it. I told her that was one I found on side of the road but she swore that was the one she gave Marselean (our great granddaughter) or Christmas a year ago. Marselean lives 25 miles north of where I found the lion and would have no reason to be on the road I found it. To settle the argument, we called my granddaughter, Marselean’s mother and asked if Marselean was missing her lion. Come to find out, she was and had been crying because she couldn’t find it. My granddaughter and Marselean’s father are divorced and he lives in the town we live in. Apparently, my granddaughter had to go to the town I had my doctor’s appointment and from there, was going to Marselean’s father’s house. For some reason, she had to stop on the side of the road where I found the lion to get/do something and apparently it fell out of the car where I found it sitting there. Now, if that’s not some strange stuff going on, I don’t know what is. What the heck are the odds of something like that happening.

weighting the bow down
I prefer trim tabs over the hydrofoil, but the hydrofoil helps if you want cheap help. Another thing you might want to look at are a set of wedges that make it so you can trim in further. These are 5 degree, I've seen them in seven degree and up to 13 degree, but those are extreme, go in too far and it won't trim out enough for a good plane. .https://www.vancemfg.com/product-p/tw-100.htm?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI__zom83r3wIVFInICh1LkwuYEAQYASABEgLkh_D_BwE They just mount between the engine and transom to add a few more degrees of inward tilt.

PTSD & a SITTING BOAT
I don't care what everyone else say's, I didn't do it and don't know anything about. Sorry, I haven't been following this thread until someone threw me under the bus. Actually, I do know a little about your 200 Johnson and would be more than willing to help where I can. I have not read everything, just your initial post and it seems you have concerns about having let the motor sit for three years, and you have been given excellent advise on not trying to start the motor as it sits now. To bad you are not closer to middle GA. I would be more than will to actually do the work for you, and since I don't work on them for a living, it would be free. BEFORE ANYONE GETS THE WRONG IDEA, THAT'S THE FELLOW VETERAN OFFER, NOT THE PUBLIC. The major problem now is your saying you are not competent with motors and mechanical. I hate to say this, but there are some things you are going to need, time and knowhow or a whole bunch of money. As a minimum, the old fuel has to be removed from the tank, and the whole fuel system purged. That's about an hour of work. It's almost guaranteed the carbs will have to come off and be rebuilt. That's several hundred dollars most places. The fuel pump (VRO) will need to be flushed and inspected to see if it still has the old four wire or a five wire pump. If it's still running the old four wire, I absolutely would not run that pump or at least the VRO (oil injection) function, It's already beyond it's useful life and is subject to fail at anytime. To swap out the VRO for a new one, that's probably $600 - $700. They do make a fuel pump only for about $200 plus labor, and you just premix the gas. I generally just run a Carter rotary pump that about 50- 75gph and 7 psi. You can get those for less than $75 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/crt-p4594?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-carter&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8cWcy7Xr3wIViK_ICh3vXAy5EAQYAiABEgIPpPD_BwE. That motor has a six psi fuel system so normally the 7psi pump will work without pushing the needles off the seats in the carbs and require a regulator. You would also need to installs a relay if you want to run it through the key switch, that's less than $20, if you can do it yourself. As long as that motor has sat, the water pump impeller will be bad, too much memory will have set in the blade. I've never paid to have one replaced but will easily run $200-$300. The lower unit should be serviced while you are at it. All the fuel lines need to be inspected, to make sure they have not hardened and gotten brittle, that motor was before all the alcohol they use today and todays gas destroys most of that old hose. Another problem I run into on those motors after they sit for long periods is the grease dries around the timer base, so it does not advance and pull back the timing properly. How is that for more depressing info than you were really wanting. Probably having one of you PTSD attacks about now. Oh, and one little tip, I almost never siphon gas. If you can't block off the filler with a hose stuck in it, the blow like H*** to put pressure in the tank, then let the pressure push the gas out the hose, or use compressed air if you have it. Put your hose in the tank, and then lay a blow gun parallel close to the end of the siphon hose and start blowing air. The air passing over the end of the hose will create a siphon. I don't like having that nasty crap in my mouth. One other thing you need to check, is it cable or hydraulic steering. If cable, there is a good chance one or both have rusted inside and gotten very stiff. Turn the steering wheel both directions and make sure it turns the motor freely. It's another chunk of change to swap out steering cables.

Engine won’t start
Pull the air silencer off, hold the throttle linkage open a little and spray a little premixed gas in each throat. then try starting it. If it don't start then, pull the plugs out and see if they are wet or dry. If they are wet, that means it's flooded or you have an ignition problem. Wash the plug tips with some break clean and spin the motor over for a number off revolutions to purge any excess gas out. Put the plugs back in and try it again. If they are dry, you have a fuel problem and not getting gas. Spray a very small amount of gas in each plug hole, put the plugs back in and see if it fires. It's not going to do much more than make on quick hit for that small amount of gas. Understand, A SMALL AMOUNT, you don't want to hydro lock the motor. DO NOT use starting fluid in a two stroke. It not only does not have oil in it, it washes any oil in the crankcase out. Four stroke motors only for starting fluid, no diesels or two strokes.

The Curse of Oak Island
It's one of those programs that just kinda sucks you in. The first season was boring and almost lost total interest in it. This season has been the best one so far. At least they are making it look like there's a chance of discovering something in the next couple of seasons, if there's anything there. Plus it's fascinating to learning the lengths those people went to hundreds of years ago and how the heck they did it. I just feel that if they do find that mystical vault, it's going to be empty. I think someone hauled the lions share of that stuff off long ago.

Harmonica players, do we have any?
How many harp players, if any, do we have, and are you any good? For some stupid reason, at almost 71 years old, I decided learning to play one would be a good idea. I've been huffing a puffing on the thing for about three weeks now and the frustration level hasn't gone down one Iota. Back when I was about 15, I bought one and started learning to play it, but back then, if it wasn't something I could learn in a short time, other things took it's place, so between getting interest in girls, school, working, fishing, bootlegging (I was driving and had my own car at 15, a $10 1948 Ford) and other things, life put that thing on the shelf till now. Needless to say, now my muscle memory comes much slower and short term memory sucks. For now, I'm trying to learn single note tabs that I find on the computer that has someone playing them so I can listen. About done wore Moon River and Amazing Grace slap out and sounds like total s***. Absolutely no rhythm or beat, just sharp sounding notes. Since I'm not much on socializing and make friends that easily, don't know anyone else that plays so the internet is my main (only) source of guidance. If anyone thinks they can give constructive advice, other than just keep trying, it would really be appreciated. For a harp, I started with a Fender Blues DeVille in C. I like the way it plays, but don't like it's sound and then the #6 blow started sounding funky, so I bought a Lee Oscar Major in C this past Tuesday, but after playing it for a couple of days, I didn't like the feel of it in my mouth. It was thinner than the Fender I was used to and could not get comfortable with it. So, now I have a Marine Band Crossover in C. That one feels very similar to the Fender and plays really easy. Sucks all three are the same key, but that's what all the beginner tabs and demo's seem to be written for.

After you retired?
Problem with most CD's, bank savings and some annuities etc, the inflation rate is higher than the interest rate so you have to be careful how you setup your retirement plan. Some of the big name companies selling annuities have so many hidden fees they don't tell you about, (they hid them so deep in the computer disk or booklet they give, you would never read far enough to find them) and low interest rates, you are not really building much over what you are actually putting into them. Old saying, one good investment in stocks is worth a lifetime of saving. All you have to do is figure out what's a good investment.

Chemo + hands
Yea, I've been to two, the first one made a human pin cushion out of me, and said it was nerve damage, like I didn't already know that. Made no other explanation or any attempt to do anything else, other than say he would send a report to my GP. That was probably 15 years ago when there was only a slight numbness. About 5 years ago I went to a different one because my feet and legs had gotten much worse. This one sent me up to Emory Hospital in Atlanta to have a whole series of test done. I also have a bad back where L1 just kinda floats around and I've always thought that was what was causing it but after all the test, the Doctors at Emory said no, it was a blood protein attacking the nerves and they would send a report back to my neurologists. That's when I was given the $1,200 prescription and told "oh well".

Red Dot or Reflex
If you do order optics and a rail, I should clarify my point on the rail. You will see a lot of the rails with a slot milled down the center, but they are not milled deep enough to let you use the sights. Once they are mounted, the bead does not stick up to let you see it. The one that allows use of the sights is called a low profile see through and the slot is milled a lot deeper than the normal rails, it's almost all the way down to the receiver and comes with special extra short screws to mount it. I see the one I reference looks like it has a round bottom. I know it's hard to tell from pictures but the one I found (which happen to be the only silver one I could find) seems to have a wider channel and flat bottom. It's very easy to use the factory sights and leaves some field of view on each side. One things I might also suggest, If you feel you are pretty sure you want one. Go ahead and order a rail and mount it on the rifle, they are not that expensive. Then take the rifle with you to look are optics. Since most the those don't require rings, you can stick the optics on the rifle while at the counter and get a much better feel for what you think about them than just holding one up and trying to look through it. Also remember, things are a lot closer in the store, so those big dot optics don't seem that large, until you actually get outside and looking at something at a distance.
