My 55lb moves my 17ft boat pretty well. Definately something wrong with battery or trolling motor. Does the motor changed speeds when the dial is turned ?

Sparks plugs can make a lot of difference in cranking and running. When I got my Johnson motor it had NGK and it didn't start real good. Looked at the manual and it recommended Champion plugs. Changed them out to recommended plug and made a difference.

I agree with 87. Most everything I have read says your wasting money if you use over 87 octane in a boat motor but I would call Mercury or wait until you get the docs on your motor.

I fish in some of my buddies boats every now and then. I got a box that I made up when I fish with them. As you can see it is just a simple old fashion tackle box. I rarely need anything else. Of course I still have other boxes/bags of baits in my boat but 90% of the time I just look in my little tackle box for the bait I need. I think sometimes we complicate things by having too many choices.

Taking it apart is not the problem, it's getting it back together.

I have nothing but Lews reels. I have never had a bad experience with them. I am sure there is a lemon on every brand made. I assume you bought it on line. Did you contact the shop where you bought it. Last but not lease, contact Lews and see what they can do. I have had good customer service with them.

Same here, I use my console finder to find what I am looking for and my bow mount to stay on it, this is my preference and am sure there are other ways.
