  1. I bass fish to catch bass. If I catch a bunch of small ones I am happy or if I catch a big one I am happy. Really I am just happy to be out on the water.
  2. 10# may get by but it not the best choice for a spinnerbait. I would say 14# is the min. I would go. You can change blades all you want as long as the blade don't overpower the spinnerbait.
  3. Just ordered another Pflueger spinning reel. That rod just looked too naked with out a reel. ?
  4. Not really much cold weather, was high of 65 today. We did turn the heater on the other night just to make sure it did work when we really needed it.
  5. Never tried the Palmer model but love the regular models. Been using the Lews Perfect Crankbait Rod for a long time, great rod for a small price.
  6. Convert it to numbers that you can compare. Find a number that the bottom number in both fractions will go into. 2/3, 3/5, find a number that 3 and 5 will divide into (get that number by x the 2 numbers 3 and 5). That number is 15. 3 into 15 = 5 x the top number 2 = 10. 5 into 15 = 3 x the top number 3 = 9. 2/3 = 10 3/5 = 9 Does this make sense or am I totally confused.
  7. 95% of my tackle is in my boat. I only keep extra plastics and a few cranks that I know I will need when I run out or lose. I know exactly where everything is in my boat.
  8. Is that your final answer? ?
  9. The bite was off. What I learned is sometimes it is better to go golfing than fishing, well maybe. ?
  10. I use a 55# MK Edge on my 17 foot aluminum boat and it does the job for me. I would stay with a cable operated trolling motor.
  11. Great choice, Pflueger are great reels !!!!
  12. All of my casting reels are Lews with Falcon rods. My spinning rods are Lews with Pflueger reels.
  13. As long as it meets boat requirements, go for it.
  14. Congrats !!! That's a good'n!!!
  15. Agree but I think when the water get around 55 degree it never quits but really slows down. That's is the temp I look for in the spring to start throwing topwater more.
  16. I throw a lot of Bandit cranks mostly in Tenn. Shad but my 2nd best color is Baby Bass. That color has been catching fish for decades.
  17. No doubt about it, life jackets and kill switches saves lives !!!!!! Sorry your buddy lost all his equipment but glad to hear that he is still around to talk about it.
  18. Never used snaps and never will. I like the idea of cutting off some line at the lure when changing baits.
  19. Don'think it really matters.
  20. A 1/2 oz. spinnerbait, chart./white skirt, single Colorado blade.
  21. Nearly always a twin tail. Don't know why but I have always done it.
  22. Amazing how the wife remembers all the bad things you did but never remember the good things. ?
  23. 16# Sunline Sniper. Throws as far as I need.
  24. Crankin', Topwater - Mono Frog, Pitching - Braid Everything else - FC
