Mostly top water and crankbaits but you can use it on everything. Just because it has been around for a while, don't make it bad.

I use mono on all my cranking rods and top water rods, FC on worm rods and spinnerbait rods. The only time I use braid with a leader is on my spinning rods and that is only to prevent a lot of twist.Nothing wrong with mono on all.

We need to know a little more info, details on the rod, what are you going to use it for. If this is your only rod, I would put 14# mono on it.

Tried just using FC but now i just use braid/FC, won't go back to FC. Braid don't have the twist problems and cast so much better.

The last couple of years they have started it the evening before BF. They don't advertise on their side until the day of BF.
