  1. I’m with Catt. 6th Sense Hybrid jig also looks promising.
  2. When fishing a river system, it’s less difficult to find either depended on the season. Reservoirs are a little harder. As stated, Smallie’s are more prone to bite but those might also be the little ones. What’s a bugger is hitting feeding windows.
  3. 6th Sense Strike King Normans Rapala
  4. Before you buy domestic, check the options at Digitaka. The Scorpion is a 70 size and JDM offers the SLX 70 DC. Both are great casters.
  5. I’m 70 and can remember teaching myself how to build rods to get something over 6 1/2 feet.
  6. That’s my choice. The mini mag especially.
  7. Coots eat new vegetation so they can help disclose those areas. Beaver chew down small trees, chew off branches and drag the branches for huts and food stores. It’s not uncommon for residual brush to be near huts or sapling stumps but out of view. Crows and blackbirds are an indication that some jerk threw their McDonalds garbage out the window at the ramp parking lot.
  8. Give it to Mikey. He’ll try anything. He likes it! Hey Mikey really likes it!!!
  9. I am a firm believer that what is different from the learning curve is the accessibility to information. Also, the ease in which younger people access it. We in my day had very little print media and less television. Here’s one for you: how many under eighteen know what a slide rule is? The age of communication and tech is long with us and with that the expectation to get what you want now. It’s following culture. There’s nothing wrong with that.
  10. Senko jig chatterbait spinnerbait Super Spook tube Hulagrub spinnerbait Robo Worm Super Spook I would have a Normans DLN snuck away somewhere😳😙
  11. AFI and it’s part of my home and auto. The policy even covers the EPA fine if my boat pollutes. I added a binder to increase coverage on my tackle which is considerable.
  12. I bought some Bill Dance sunglasses once.
  13. If you would just buy a copy of Roland Martin’s book he will have sold 97 copies.
  14. The old reverse thumb pressure technique and that would have been picked out in a minute or less.
  15. I’ll be starting in a shallow stained body of water. The smallmouth venues will be addressed down the road. And Dwight, you can be assured a Vision 110 will top that list.👍👍👍👍👍
  16. I’m just now starting to line up my early cold water prespawn set ups. This is what will be on the deck: 3/8 oz pitchin jig with a zoom chunk 3/8 ounce swim jig with a z craw trailer 1/2 oz flippin jig with rage bug T-Rig Senko weightless T-Rig Rage craw pegged 1/4 oz T-Rig Lizard pegged 1/4 ounce 1/2 ounce tandem Spinnerbait and trailer 1/2 Chatterbait with minnow trailer. Eight rigs for cold water lethargic fish. Colors will be water clarity defined and most likely be a derivation of black blue to start. I’m feeling it.
  17. I’ve never owned a Kistler Helium. Kistler outsourced blanks from Lamiglas for a time. Then they built off of NFC blanks. I understand Kistler now rolls blanks in house. I have a few NFC Edge rods and the MBR 736-1C Silver Widow is the most sensitive rod I’ve fished with. If a new Helium is even close at $247.00, that would get my attention fast.
  18. Like my style, evaluate and adjust. I’m a believer that bass will tell us things. The first bite or reaction is a hint. The second is you’re getting warmer and the third is for me to replicate what I did and maybe expand. Never under estimate where fish might be. For many years deep was ten feet. Now it’s fifty. I’m an advocate of dragging and dead sticking. I guess that might be off the norm but it works. Sharing experience can help create experience.👍
  19. 2024 JDM SLX DC 70 is here. This is my first experience with the DC cast control. It’s going on my jerk bait rod. The finish is much nicer than the flat black with blue graphics.
  20. Well I came by two of them and it’s a funny story how. I was walking my cow to market and this old haggard lady offered me a handful of beans and two crankbaits for my cow. Well she now has the cow, I have two new Pressures and I’m having bean burritos for dinner.
