Why Bass?
Bass fishing is just the off season of steelhead fishing.... I actually enjoy targeting everything, but also enjoy fishing bass tournaments too.

How long do you wait
Maybe he was trying to be fashionably late??? ;D Just kidding, I would give him no more then 5 minutes, and if he was not on time then I would call them and tell them sorry about your luck.

I am with LBH on this one I love fishing with a steady snow fall and the people looking on saying dang that person is crazy. Let them believe fish do not bite in winter.

What is dead sticking
Dead sticking is a really deadly technique, but the only time I do it is in tournaments. Its a great technique but I tend to gut hook a ton of fish doing it. Senkos, tubes, and jigs

winter pond fishing
Ice fishing is a blast but if your ponds do not freeze over I would suggest a suspending jerk bait with some long pauses.

As I was reeling in a seven inch bassMAMMA CASS
Get a palm sized live bluegill and use it for bait, it will go after it and make your heart drop.

Favourite fishing
There is a house by our local river that is going for $2 million dollars. I would love to live there and fish for smallies in the summer and steelhead trout in the fall-spring. ;D

Breaking concentration

Dream Sponsors and Sponsors you'd never dream of
Dream sponser? Allready have it. 8-) As other sponsers I would like, I would say ranger, st. croix, shimano, or quantum.... As for sponsers I would not want, I would take what I could get. If Vi agra (why didnt that come out with out the space I dont know) or any other company like that told me they would pay for my tournaments but I have to have Vi agra on the side of my boat in big bold letters I would be all for it...

Ever got your lure back that you broke off??
These are all really cool stories, this was a great thread. Ah yes, this isnt the big one that got away or anything but I was fishing a lake in ohio called mosquito lake. I was using a crawler harness for walleye and I had a kink in my line and probally broke off 50 feet of line, about an hour later I snagged the line, and there was a fish on the end of it. To bad it was perch. But still cool. 8-)

New World Record Bass (25.1 lbs)
This was all over all the boards I am a member of, and it was on tv, and it was in bassmaster magazine. Well where I come from its not considered snagging if you dont do it intentionally at least he was honest.

How many new people

Do you think bass can see your line?
Well I have heard that the bass can see your line but they are just not line shy. I fish for steelhead trout up here and you are not using fluorocarbon then you are usually not going to catch one. I think fluoro has a time and a place for bass but its really not necessary.

(Mississippi) River Senko
Most of the times when I am fishing senkos succesfully, there is vegatation or brush in the relative area. Try fishing by some of that stuff and you might find success with it.

5in soft plastics too big for around a 12in bass?
In a tournament we fished, we used 5" senkos in the morning. We caught 18 bass in the first 4 hours, and 11 were below 12". So there ya go, I have also caught 4-5 pounders on them. And I have pulled many bluegills, and a few crappies on them too.

What Weight Is A "Good Bass"
Well! From ohio theres not that many big bass. Id first off consider any bass that kept (tournament wise) a good bass. But in a lot of tournaments up here 3lbs is big bass. I would say 3lbs- Good basss 5-7lbs- Great bass 7lbs+ Call the press My biggest is only 5.5 theres not that many big fish up here.
