;D I was starting one soon.... Serouisly we tryed it last year and the camera man blowed. Allright thanks for all the comments, but the thing is I have only gotten skunked with them a few times. Compared to there only catch a few times. I will listen to avid and road warrior's advice and try not to let it bother me and not fish with them anymore.

WOW, Illegal in your states? In ohio they sell at it most baitshops down south for flathead catfish. I only used it once, you can get a bunch for pretty cheap at baitshops around here. They are all big, I know people who use 10" goldfish and up to 4lb carp for bait for flathead catfish!

Well, heres the scoop. Over the past few month I have had friends make comments about my fishing ways, abilities, and fishing in general that I really did not appreciate. All they tell me o is your not that good how do you catch so many fish they said I was just really lucky. Mind you these might potentionally be 2 of the worst fisherman I have ever fished with and they go out just as much as I do. But I enjoy being out with friends. Anyway they told me I can be a pretty grumpy person when I fish certain areas, I told them I am here to catch fish and enjoy myself. I will help you if you want it but try to do what I tell you, all they would ever say is that is not going to work and give me a hard time about it. Well they kept not listening so I started getting a bit aggravated. Every 5 minutes, this spot sucks we will never catch anything here. Well inside my head I was thinking this is a great spot, just fish it right and you will catch fish. Mind you this has gone on forever a month.. Well these 2 people are my friends, and they just drove me to the breaking point. I absolutley snapped, I was getting dang sick of the comments they were making. They have been fishing 4-5 times a week for the past 2 months, and I try to help them, they dont listen and say thats stupid it wont work and complain about not catch fish all the time! So I basically told them if you want to catch fish take the advice I give you and use it and dont complain about it, or do not complain about getting skunked, its part of fishing. I appologized for being a A-hole and I believe I became better friends with one of the people because he seen where I was coming from and I seen his view too. But the other one was different. He kept wanting to argue, how just because I have decent stuff is the reason I catch so many fish. I told him not trying to be mean person, "Give me your pole you can have mine and I gaurentee it wouldnt make a difference you would still just catch as many things as you are and my catch rate will not go down either." He kept saying fishing in general is total luck, "You cant be a good fisherman, there is no skill involved." "The only reason bass pros are good because they have high quality stuff and a boat". I got even more ticked off and I absolutley went crazy on him. I told him that fishing is not luck, if its luck how come your total is always half of mine in fish total. If its luck wouldnt you eventually catch something that is worth to brag about?? I told him fishing was sure part of being at the right place at the right time but fishing is a heck of a lot more then luck. He said prove it, I managed to catch the best fish he has ever seen. Mind you it was a marginal fish in my view but he was pretty shocked on how well a 4-5lb steelhead fought. What would you have done? How do you know when enough is enough? Remind you this has been going on for a while now, and it just pushed me over the edge. I stand by what I said and my actions and do not have a bit of regret. I fish for personal enjoyment not to be someones baby sitter. None of these people post anything really worth reading here so thats why I posted it here.

Those fish sure are cool pretty creepy looking, there are a few here in ohio. Mostly Lake Erie and they are indangered there.

Looks like an excellent smallie bait to me, I get quite a few on buck tail jigs with out the trailer.

Well this is my best year number wise by far.... I probally caught 400 largemouth and probally 200 smallmouth I would say I averaged 5-6 largemouth a trip and about 10 smallmouth a trip. PB day on largemouth was 29 PB day on smallmouth was about 25ish... Most of the smallies I catch are your classic river dinks, but every once in a while you will get a tanker!

My neighboor used to take us all the time when I was about twelve... We would go to a his son's pond about 40 minutes away and this place was absolutley loaded with bass. After a while that started to dwindle down. About a year ago I was golfing and seen a bunch of carp in a golf course pond and thought its been so long why not go bass fishing. It was the first time I went in years, I was using a rubber worm and I caught 5 bass. Booy I was hooked! Now I enjoy my time on the bank, boat, or ice fishing for whatever bites just not only bass.

Pretty fortunate to have an excellent fisherie in Lake Erie and Rocky River only a few miles away from me... So I get out about averaging 4 days a week... I have pulled a few all dayers too, start at 5 am and fish till dark... Nothing better when you blow your whole saturday fishing and dont catch a single fish ;D and there is no where else you would rather be.

I do it occasionally for perch when we vertical fish...

I caught a 14" smallie on egg sacks fishing for steelhead a few weeks back here in ohio! ;D Sad thing is a guy next me caught about an 18" smallmouth using skien!

Vanish = Trash I like Gamma, P line, and Seaguar.... Check your rod or reel for any chips, that could be why your line is breaking...

40lb turtle on a crankbait... Carp on a chatterbait... Both weird and heart breakers... Also, it didnt happen to me but I know someone who had a 2 1/2 pound bass jump in the boat while he was idleing around. ;D

I catch fish in up to 20 feet of water, but I would prefer 10 feet or less. There is not to many deep lakes around me...

Partner??? Different every time I go. I usually go with a different person all the time. With the excpetion of tournaments, my brother was my partner in "most" of my tournaments because he has the boat. He is the only person on earth I will trust with a net, but we are often yelling and screaming at each other about random stuff. I look foward to next year, I will have my own boat, and I will have a new partner. I will be the boat opperator.

Tinker with the idea a little bit, we have had 4 or 5 bass go after our spinnerbait at once. Once we even almost netted 2 fish and one wasnt even hooked using a spinnerbait I like the idea, but not how it looks... I spreader that we use for perch in ohio would do the trick? But that would only mean 2 spinnerbaits.... I think the rig would work better with buzzbaits.. That is if you prefected your hanger
