Maybe where you live but, AT&T has the ultimate reception round here 100% garanteed ask my fishin buds with Verizon who ask to use my phone bacause theirs has no reception! Maybe, but in general Verizon has the best coverage. Not in the Chicago area either. AT&T is much better here. Ok, so if you are in Chicago, get AT&T. Otherwise, get Verizon.
  2. Haha i deserve that, i just couldnt get my brain going haha. 18 seconds is actually down my boss said my firs batch was 45 seconds per postcard haha Just shows how distracting This website is haha in a good way Believe me, I know what you're talking about. The other day I asked me friend what 1800 divided by 6 was. We looked at each other for a second and tried to figure it out. Then when I got it, I was like "why the heck did I need to ask you that?" Sometimes the brain just doesn't work at 100%...
  3. Oh, I read it wrong. I thought he asked for how many postcards/second. Even so, it's a simple conversion to get back to what he wanted.
  4. 30 minutes x 60 seconds per minute =1800 seconds. 100 post cards / 1800 seconds = about .056 postcards per second. Was the year you take off second or third grade? ;D

  6. you caught one on a buzzbait at this time of year?!?! wow. did you get the water temp?
  7. I don't see why it's a bad thing to match your gear. I wouldn't buy a bright green car with red interior or a red car with orange interior. Rods and reels are substantial investments so I don't think it's too much to ask that they look good. I like to have my reels match my rods. Obviously the reel's abilities and strengths need to match the technique of the rod but yes, aesthetics do matter to me.
  8. Like Burley said, try a limp and manageable line. Roadwarriors suggestion of Yo Zuri Ultra soft is probably the best example of those characteristics.
  9. Is that real? It says "Do not attempt. Controlled Environment" at the bottom at the end.

If you want reception, get Verizon. Best service, period.
  11. I agree. I haven't purchased flouro since the first two spools I tried. I still can't understand why other people use it.
  12. ...you might want to know that the county is going to start charging entrance fees for a few of them (Burke, Accotink, Fairfax, and Riverbend) Wash. Post article
  13. Finally got the 09 skunk off today. Andrew and another buddy and I hit some ponds today. We ended up with 10 total. 3 out of one bush on a jig for my buddy, 5 for me out of a cement drainage area and 2 for Andrew out of the same area. Andrew and I both caught our first flipping jig bass. I broke in my new Citica E, my new Kistler flipping stick, and my new Cumara spinning rod, getting at least one fish with each of them. Not a bad day for new stuff...
  14. Welcome to last season, Sam!
  15. I took our Taurus in for new tires at Sears a couple weeks ago. They told me I needed new wiper blades. I had just put new ones on two days earlier....The more you can educate yourself about your car and do yourself, the more you can avoid getting screwed.
  16. I am starting to see dogwoods blooming! Still no fish, though.
  17. that guy is hilarious. i haven't seen any of his stand up, but i watch his "important things" show every wednesday. Dave, you have to watch the stand up, IMO it is way better than the show.
  18. you were just too early, Sam. ;D
  19. As much as I don't like Eddie Vedder, I agree with you Gone_Phishin, it was a really good soundtrack he made. I thought it fit with the movie very well.

I think I recently saw a study that said people who eat diets high in vegetables had smaller brains. The conclusion was that eating lots of vegetables makes your brain shrink. :-?
  21. Excluded or Secluded? oh shut up. I have too much schoolwork this week to be able to choose the right words for my forum posts. ;D
  22. I disagree, Burley. Anyone who goes out to live with bears and tries to make friends with them is clearly at the top of the crazy class. As for the movie, I thought it was pretty cool but I don't agree with his philosophies. I firmly believe that sometimes people think themselves out of happiness and personally I think he was an example of that. I think it would be a lot of fun to travel the country and then live somewhere secluded to see if I could sustain myself from nature but I wouldn't do it by myself.
  23. Simon, do you know if they are heading up the Rapp or Pmac yet?
  24. Unfortunately, no. I will be home Saturday and Sunday, though. Let me know if you want to fish this weekend. I should have my new Fuego by then and I will be dying to test it out--and to catch my first bass of 2009.... :'(
  25. Sometimes I think about leaving my gear in the car. There probably wouldn't be a problem if I did, but I just can't imagine the feeling of discovering all of it gone so I always take it out. I don't have nearly the amount of stuff that you guys store in your boat, so it's easier for me I guess.
