  1. Too bad I'm leaving H'burg for vacation tomorrow. I would have gladly shown you some spots. I would suggest the North River in Bridgewater. From Harrisonburg, if you take Rt. 42 (High Street) south for a few miles you will get to downtown Bridgewater. Take a left just before you cross a bridge and you will see a little park. Park in the available spots and fish under the bridge, and over by the concrete platform (you will know what I mean when you see it). I don't know if the fish are biting right now but you can catch largemouth, smallmouth, and even pike from the shore. Other than that, I wouldn't really advise the Shenandoah near Harrisonburg right now. There aren't many spots where you can fish from shore without wading and I'm assuming the water temps are still too cold.

Right, he was created by "Project X" like Wolverine, Sabretooth, and others. Apparently the new movie is going to have a lot of storyline about Project X and the characters it created.

Dangit. I always thought it would be cool to see a story about superheros in real life history, like Superman fighting Nazis or stuff like that. I believe they had Captain America issues where he fought in WWII. I think that could make an awesome movie. I think the new Xmen movie is going to show Wolverine during WWII...
  4. Your setup will work perfectly. As for locations, you could try the Potomac. I don't know many access points on the MD side but I know there are some. Also, there are plenty of small rivers in MD that hold smallmouth. You should post in the Northeast section to see if any MD guys can help you out more.

In the trailer, it seemed like the story positions superheros throughout historical situations. For example, it looked like the trailer showed one of the Watchmen in Vietnam...did the comic do that sort of stuff? That seems like a really cool concept to me.
  6. As far as I know you cannot attach files to PMs.
  7. That's a dumb way to run the state tournament. In Virginia, if you lose a game, you don't play anymore. There isn't a 3rd or 4th, only a champion and runner up.
  8. One time I caught a walleye and my friend wanted to keep it for dinner. We had just started fishing so we put it on a stringer and into the water. We attached the stringer to a stick and wedged the stick between some rocks. We hiked farther up the shoreline and fished for a couple of hours. When we returned to the spot where we had left the stringer, there was a heron with the walleye in its mouth, still connected to the stringer. We yelled at the heron to scare it away and it took off, only to be yanked back down into the water by the stringer. Then it took off again and pulled the stringer loose, which swung up and wrapped around the heron in mid-air. The heron crashed into the water. This was right above a large waterfall and rapids as well. We thought we had killed the heron, but it managed to get free from the stringer and take off safely. The walleye and stringer went down the falls though.
  9. They probably work for McAfee or Norton.... BAZZZZIIIING! ;D
  10. No. I am too scared of dropping it in the water. Also, I found myself humming or hearing songs that are stuck in my head while fishing. Sometimes it's one song all day that I will keep coming back to.
  11. I am not. Sorry dudes.
  12. It seems that a few members are planning on a get-together this weekend at Fountainhead. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1234877072
  13. yeah....:-X
  14. What Antivirus software were you using?
  15. I would say around 7lbs also
  16. Green pumpkin and purple are two of my go-to colors for smallies.
  17. It depends. I use Degree, Old Spice, Right Guard. Always a stick though. I wish I could find something that works better though but I haven't. I have to concur with FoM, I have had compliments on cologne while only wearing Old Spice Red Zone stuff.
  18. Yeah, I need to work on casting also I'm just waiting for it to get warm. I have Orvis Wonderline Trout line. It is weight forward 5wt. I don't know how that would be different, probably only the taper and weight. Luckily, I had a $50 gift card when I bought it.
  19. Congrats and good luck. How do you know the field you are going into? I suppose I don't really know how recruitment or enlistment works. Do you get to choose what you are going to do?
  20. You're right, Virginia does have citizens arrest however it's only for felonies. Yeah, if you tried to enact a citizens arrest on them then you would be wide open for a civil suit and even criminal charges. I believe it is the same way in most states. It MUST be a felony that YOU witnessed. There are some other stipulations that vary state by state as well. I also believe the video was taken before the Richmond store even opened, and it says in the video info that it was taken in Iowa.
  21. Simon, why are you going to Australia?!? BTW, my dad just picked up a book for me that might interest you as well. "Fly-Fishing for Smallmouth Bass" written by Harry Murray. He is pretty much THE authority on fly-fishing in Virginia. Let me know if you want to check it out after I read it.
  22. I used to watch Conan all the time and loved him. Then I just got bored with him. I haven't seen LN with Jimmy Fallon but I don't imagine I would like it very much. I didn't think he was very good on SNL. I still think I would prefer Conan in Leno's slot, I just can't stand Leno. I'm with Burley though, I'll watch KOTH reruns before late night talk shows any day.
  23. He said H.W. But he was born in Massachusetts.
  24. I am a full time student at JMU until this May. After that, well, I'm still working on that.
  25. I don't see why they don't just do it like the Region tournaments were setup. Quarters on Tuesday, Semis on Thursday, and Championship on Saturday. I guess they don't want the kids to have to travel that much during the week. By having the games on the weekends, the students won't miss as much school. The teams from Region C and D would have a heck of a drive and would undoubtedly miss all of school for Tuesday and Thursday games. Yup, George Mason Mustangs. Stupid mascot but what can you do...
