  1. If a Citica 200E is too small for his hands then a Chronarch 50mg probably would be as well.
  2. It depends on what blank you get for your rod. The blank is the most expensive piece and obviously the most important factor in sensitivity, durability, and weight. When you order a GBlank rod you can choose from a variety of blanks that vary in price and quality. Can you get a Gblank that is better than a Carrot Stick? Absolutely. Can you do it for the same price? I think so. Can you do it for much less? Most likely not. My Gblank cost $150 shipped and I used the RX7 blank they offer.
  3. Like the others, I have never heard of a Zillion breaking. It's just bad luck that you got a defective one. How is Daiwa's customer service? What does replacing a broken rod cost with shipping and all? If you don't mind a little hijacking, I am interested in hearing about the tip softness from Zillion owners. They don't seem to have F/XF classifications. The models I've held seemed very fast tipped (which I like). Would it be accurate to say that most of the models are the same? How would you compare the tips to other rods? Specifically a Cumara which I understand are pretty fast as well.
  4. I own a Citica E and a D. The E is noticeably smoother than the D. It is also smaller, lighter, and sturdier feeling than the D. It casts extremely well. Shimano has taken the effort to improve all of their new editions but I think the Citica is the one that has improved the most (and has remained the same price as well) and Tackle Tour seems to agree. FWIW, I haven't used a PQ but they seem to be better built than some of BPS' other reels.
  5. word. That's where I park.
  6. I bought a Rapala XRW13 to try in the spring. It is 5.75" 1.25oz walking bait.

    Flukes?
  8. Wow. I waited through a whole episode of getting skunked to see a 2 second clip of Glenn and NO MENTION of the website. It's still pretty cool that you got on there Glenn but I guess I had my hopes up too high. :-/
  9. Not enough guns. Dire Straits records are more effective.
  10. yup. probably one of the better Zombie movies. My brother is a zombie fanatic. He has movies that are decades old, remakes of different versions, sequels, prequels, etc. He has a whole movie binder filled with them. Most of them are more ridiculous than scary but there are some good ones in there too.
  11. 47! That's not too bad!
  12. Congratulations, Muddy. That really is great.
  13. I liked it. It's an important part of history, also.
  14. I've got a few stickers. I started to plaster them as a background on a big cork bulletin board I have. I'll cover the whole thing one day. I also got a discount price on a sweatshirt when I ordered my last reel. I think I paid $10 for it when it is normally $30.
  15. We didn't lose power but we had some very strong gusts and a short period of torrential rain. My roommate had a fan in his window and the wind coming in the window was overpowering the fan motor and reversing the direction of the blades. Needless to say his room got a little wet.
  16. I put the rod butt in the back seat and the tip in the passenger corner of the dashboard/windshield area. I've fit up to a 7'6" stick in my Ford Taurus this way but I think it could handle longer.
  17. Andrew, if you do get out, let us know the state of whatever lake(s) you go to. I'd really appreciate it.
  18. It is great stuff. I find it very similar to Yo Zuri Ultra Soft in regards to manageability. I don't use line conditioner, but you probably won't need it very much, especially for the 4lb test. The 12lb test might need it but not as much as other lines. It is very limp.
  19. wait, what's wrong with Finding Nemo? That isn't a chick flick or anything. Sure, it is a kids movie but so is Shrek, which is also just a good movie. 8-) I have to admit the Notebook. My Mom tricked me into watching it but by the end I liked it.
  20. CLASSIC And there is no way that Scarlett Johansen is hotter than Jennifer Aniston. Ever. ;D
  21. lmao Simon! That sucks Giving a pet is like giving someone a bill. Dogs cost an average of $16,000 over their lifetime!
  22. The movie was hilarious. I haven't seen any of the shows but I am going to. "They're the stupidest **** giraffes in the dumb dumb salad."
  23. thanks. I was even eyeing my St Croix Legend tournament spinning rod but there is just no way I could make it work. That will have to be my one cork handled rod.
  24. Went out and got some over wrap (couldn't find Prince brand, but I found a few others) and just finished wrapping my cork rods. This one is my Kistler Magnesium flipping stick. The other is a BPS Extreme flipping stick that I will be posting in the for sale section soon. It looks and feels great. I even managed to wrap the foregrips on both rods which was a little tricky because of their shape but both turned out great. The Magnesium was harder because it is a split grip, but it worked out nicely. The powerhump on the Extreme was real pain though...
  25. just looked it up, you're right.
