You have a good point, but you don't see smallies come unbuttoned as much when they jump, even though they jump more often. Big largemouth head shake and it makes the hole where the hook point entered get bigger, making the hook just slide out. When the smallie jumps, there's not much head shake. Hope I worded that right. Yeah, I understand. That's a good point, probably something to do with the smaller mouths not allowing a bait to jostle around as much or get clearance to shake free also. I still think that the jumps and the speed make smallmouths a better fight.

Have you ever had a LMB jump completely out of the water at full speed 4 different times during a fight? I never have. I agree with you to an extent about the running to cover part, but smallies are just much stronger, athletic, and acrobatic.

Russ, what was she charged with? I would imagine reckless driving would be the most probable criminal offense in that situation but that is not a felony, it is just a class 1 misdemeanor.

That is outrageous. As an institute of learning, they should never punish you for doing that, UNLESS you are violating the school's computer policy by printing out hundreds of sheets of paper...(this is something my school had) In that case, they would be punishing you for wasting the school's paper, not for what was printed on it, which would make sense. If you only printed one copy, then that is ridiculous. Also, remember that it doesn't require much to give a police officer probable cause to search your vehicle. Most jurisdictions recognize that an officers senses, exhibition of flight or furtive conduct, false or implausible answers to routine questions, presence at a crime scene or in a high crime area, past criminal conduct, and associations with known criminals can qualify as probable cause and allow an officer to legally search your car. I don't even know the rules if the activities take place on school property because I assume they could count that as trespassing and stop and search you just for being there.

That's was my understanding about Trophy Management. It doesn't necessarily mean that there are trophy fish in there, it means that they are putting certain regulations into effect to try to grow trophy fish.

yeah, I should clarify that my swimbaits have really only been effective as topwaters right before dusk. They have an action similar to a rage tail topwater when worked quickly over the top of weed mats

yup, jerk-pause works best for me. I mainly use it for smallmouth, though.
