What a load of crap! Is your school Old Dominion? I want to write a letter. No, JMU. I should clarify though. It's not the school that decides what programs to have. A club or organization has to propose an event (movie, speaker, etc..) and then the school approves it. My guess is that a club proposed this event and that there were no other proposals for something to remember the actual victims of the attack.

Sorry to gravedig, but I just got my own console and wanted to update my friend list. I had to change my gamertag, now it is: dan0saurs If anyone else plays COD4, post your tag.
  3. LOL...Mooooom! Bafroom! Bafroom! I agree with COD, it's a great game. We should all party up sometime and play.

Guess what my school is doing to remember? Showing a documentary about how hate crimes and racial profiling affected Muslim Americans after 9/11... :-?
  5. I haven't owned a Quantum spinning reel but I think Shimano's would be a better bang for the buck from what I hear. Go for a Symetre, I think they are the best reels in their price range (you can get the older ones on *** for $67)
  6. My friend in Ashland said that the Gander Mtn down there isn't doing too well. He said that they still can't really compete with Greentop. I hope Greentop is also able to give BPS a run for their money, they have great staff and obscure items.
  7. Greentop is amazing, get in there anytime you can.
  8. Greentop is a little north of Richmond, that's a little more than an hour away (unfortunately) I think your best bet is Dick's at Fair Lakes. I think they are pretty much the best store in the NoVA area. You could order some online though.
  9. man, I wish I was still back at home so I could have people to go fishing with...
  10. I love fishing after a big rain. I don't really know what it is, but it seems to get the fish a little more active.
  11. I thought the same thing. They should have a solid spot in the rankings this week
  12. Go on a Saturday and see how many people are there
  13. Well a kick from the 18 may have different trajectory than a kick from the 3, potentially making it easier to block. I don't know about the call. It was technically a violation, but they overlook technical stuff all the time (ie: the "Bush Push" a few years ago)
  14. ECU looked great. Their defense swarmed the ball the whole game and they totally outclassed WVU. Where's Troutfisher? ;D
  15. wow, thanks for the info. Sounds like they might be a good value rod worth checking.
  16. I just saw these on *** and I figured that someone would have made a thread about them but I did a search and nothing came up. So, has anyone heard anything about these? They look pretty decent for the price but I don't know any of the specifications for them... I don't know if I like the cork AND foam configuration though
  17. Listerine has a unique flavor, too and I guess you could learn to tolerate it it, but why would you? Be forewarned, I'm going to harp on one of my pet peeves: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is symptomatic of a really bad trend in brewing: more hops is better. It is just a ruse to disguise beer and ale made with inferior grains. The sad thing is that a lot of young drinkers think they are being hip by drinking overly-hopped beers. Drink a good malty beer like Sam Smith's Organic Ale. That's what beer is all about. I totally agree, I hate all the "micro brews" that you find in the stores. I haven't been able to figure out why so many of those microbreweries make IPAs because I think they are god-awful. Beer has become trendy and I think lots of people are drinking stuff they don't like to seem cool and sophisticated. I like any old domestic beers but my favorites are Yuengling, Abita, and my favorite: Dixie
  18. it keeps giving me an error when I try to log in to BassResource.com
  19. Dave's Tournament Tackle Picasso Revenge
  20. IMO, either a Medium X-Fast or Medium Fast at 7' or longer would be your best bet.
  21. yeah, I know Ernie. I've been wanting to learn for a while though and I figure this is the perfect way to get started. Any recommendations on what I need to get started or what rod/reel configurations or brands I should be looking at?
  22. I have heard good things about the regular carrot sticks, but these look even better. I gotta say when tackle warehouse put that picture up on their homepage it definitely got my attention, what a sexy rod!
