Try a 5" husky jerk in gold/black back. Its the one with three trebles, replace the middle treble with a red one and work it in cold water.....drives 'em nuts for me. RW's dedication to the LC pointer has convinced me to purchase a few this winter and try them in the spring....so, we shall see how they compare to the husky. Wayne

I try and take water clarity into consideration, depending on the baits I am fishing. Time of year also plays into this fact. Take crawfish for example, as they will change to different shades throughout the year. I am a big fan of lures with at least some white in them, mostly due to the fact that most of your smaller baitfish have a white belly or at least something close to that color. Hey, it makes sense to me...

I have not used a split ring on poppers. If a walk the dog presentation is needed, typically I will use a spook type bait for that situation. I guess I am just thinking inside the box on this one....

ok, just Mapquested from my apartment to the Newton Recreation Commission building. This is the closest guess I could find next to Varner. Supposedly, this is the estimated trip.... Total Est.
