  1. Welcome PaLonestar, You have found the best fishing site on the net. Falcon
  2. Husky Jerks and X-Raps have put more fish in my livewell than any other lures. That was a heck of a deal on those lures. Falcon
  3. I've been using Duo-lock's for a long time and never had one fail. That includes 40" plus muskies. Falcon
  4. Hey dabnis, welcome. It's good to have another Michigan member. As cpvenom said, your equipment should always be clean and lubed. As much as we pay for our "tools" we should do all we can to keep them in fine working condition. I fish five days per week, so I usually clean and lube my reels every-other week. What part of West Michigan do you live in, and what lakes do you fish? Falcon
  5. The ice finally cleared out of my canal yesterday. It felt so good to do a little casting. Didn't catch anything, but it was still fun. Still a few weeks away from putting the boat in. Falcon
  6. Welcome, If you like bass fishing, you have found a home. Falcon
  7. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Falcon
  8. Well, the fish is nice, but the colors are all wrong. It would look better if it was Maise and Blue with a big "M" on it. LOL Falcon
  9. Glad to see somebody else from the Abu Garcia posse.LOL That's all I own. I really like my C5 Mag-X. You don't hear much about them but they are great reels. Falcon
  10. Now that was funny!! Good one Gary. Rick
  11. Welcome Big Muddy. I'm just starting to use the shakey rig myself. I know some of the more popular jigs are Spot Remover, Chompers Stand-up, Bite Me. I have the BPS Finesse Football Jig and it seems to work fine. I think the most used worms are the Zoom Trick Worm and Strike King 3X. At least I seem to see those names alot. They are the ones I'm starting with. I'm sure some more experienced shakey head fishermen will come along and enlighten both of us. Falcon
  12. I see the Coast Guard flying out of Selfridge Air Base at least once a week going out to bring these guys back in. Nice job, Bucketmouth. I laughed my butt off. Falcon
  13. Dances With Wolves Lonesome Dove Open Range Tombstone Wyatt Earp Falcon
  14. 38% definitive yankee. I thought a bubbler was what we northerners use to put in the water in the winter so our boats don't freeze. Falcon
  15. You'll be very happy with the Revo. Abu Garcia finally got it right as far as the low profile reels goes. This one's a WINNER. Falcon
  16. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Personally, I would buy new line. I speak from experience. A few years ago I found a spool of line that was about ten or so years old, it looked OK so I spooled one of my reels and went fishing. You guessed it, I lost what would have been my personal best smallie at the time. Mono isn't that expensive so buy new line. Falcon
  17. Every time I'm vacationing in the south I always feast on mud bugs, so I guess it would be a crawdad for me. Falcon
  18. Needemp hit the nail on the head. Here on St. Clair that's basically what I do. Falcon
  19. Somebody posted this before, but it was worth listening to again. I'm still laughing. Falcon
  20. Well, for the last twenty years I've used Trilene XL. I've tried other lines, but I always come back to good old XL. I haven't found anything I like as much. Falcon
  21. In St. Clair's clear water, I use black/blue on cloudy days and watermelon or green pumpkin on sunny days. Falcon
  22. My success with the Live Pointer has been marginal at best, but the Pointer 78 SP has been very good. Falcon
  23. Welcome to the home for ***atics. This is a great place to spend some quality time. Falcon
  24. Welcome, you must be very excited knowing you are going to have your new boat soon. If you are anything like me, that's all you can think about. Good luck, Falcon
  25. Welcome, this is a great place to be if you love bass fishing. Falcon
