What's your #1 Lure of all time??
Helicopter Lure. Stop the fight.

Grand dads tackle
I like the jointed one better. I get more strikes on it, BUT I miss way more fish. Not sure why? It's obviously not my fault. Stupid bass.

First time out with the whopper plopper 90
When you have your most "luck", are you reeling steady, or walking/popping the lure? I still have had no luck with mine. 90 in loon color

Chatterbait fishing?
My color choice is pretty much the same as a spinnerbait. Just my .02

Unknown Lure Companies (Mom And Pop, Local, Small Business, Etc.)
I order soft plastics from 4-5 "companies" (read: some guy pouring plastics in his basement) that i found on Instagram. Great place to look for independent lure makers.

How much do you spend on tackle?
Very clever bassmaster...or should I say... MRS. KYHOKIE!!! I think this is someone's wife that has infiltrated our secret club, trying to garner information, I'm sure. Lol, this could def be used in a court of law so I plead the fifth.

The latest sale thread

Storage of excess tackle?
So I used to do this in ohio....it worked great and my lovely wife never had any idea exactly how much tackle I had, bc she thought the basement was smelly. Fast forward to present time and now we live in Dallas where there are no basements. I have all of my stuff in one walk in closet in the spare bedroom and just pray she doesn't ever go in there ?. It's been almost a year but I feel my time is coming ?

Thickness of 7" Senko?
I'd measure for you, but according to my old lady, my measuring may be a little generous. ?

Need advice / what baits to buy
I'd buy 3-4 decent white white/chartreuse 3/8-1/2 oz spinnerbaits. Classic bait that works.

FRUSTRATED!!
@Buffdaddy54 I enjoy all types of topwater, but when I first started, I threw mostly moving lures (buzzbaits and jitterbugs). I gained confidence in these, then moved on to more challenging presentations. It may not look like it but there is a lot going on when fishing poppers and spooks. That being said one of the first things I throw if I get to my pond in the morning is a tex rigged salamander.

FRUSTRATED!!
find someone who is better than you at fishing. Might be a friend, might be a guide. Go with them and watch/imitate what they do. I learn a lot here and on the water by myself, but I almost always learn something new with a better fisherman. Keep your head up and when in doubt, 8 lb test, ned rig tied directly to your line, med light spinning gear. If that dont work, buy an R/C car. Tight lines man.

Question about summertime bass.
I find the bass in North texas ponds hug the bottom during the day. Just what I observe.

What pliers are you guys using?
Let's invent these and make some ???. Go ahead and do it, we'll split the money. I'll help with the paperwork, I promise. ?

Caught on 4 lb test
Nice man, I love that feeling of knowing that you absolutely cannot horse 'em. Good fish!

Summer Time Bank Fishing
I'm in north Texas so I understand your heat problem. It's been hot and dry here, although it's raining at the moment lol. I bank fish 90% of the time bc it's so convenient. I've had a lot of luck fishing from 10pm-2am just Texas rigging 4 and 6 inch finesse worms with 1/16 oz bullet weights. Good luck man.

Poll: Which Fishing Show Do You Watch The Most?
Can't believe no one has mentioned honey hole all outdoors with host Bill Wilcox. Fantastic show on TV (it's a local Texas show), and have a ton of episodes on YouTube. It's my favorite, but I cut my teeth on bill dance and Hank Parker.

How did you find out about BassResource?
Someone told me about it from Texas fishing forum. I am forever in their debt lol. Great site!

For those who want to be a professional fisherman
Thanks for that. Just a fantastic message. I spent 50k on my education from a large state university in Kentucky (Go Big Blue), b/c it was what I was told to do, and after struggling with the job market, I became a plumber. Almost 10 years in, and I've never been more happy...if only i could finish paying my student loans ???

4" fluke prob in watermelon or green pumpkin. Easy to keep weed less and can fish it at any depth.
