I've still got several packs of the 5.5" and 7" and use them frequently. I wish they were still made. It is still my all time favorite plastic worm.

I can assure you that is a Zetabait Gillraker worm. I used them for years until they went out of business.

Exactly the same with me. Black and Yellow H&H. I was 10 years old in 1962 and remember it like it was yesterday. I've been obsessed with bass fishing ever since.

I still use the wooden models in heavy cover. And they still catch fish.

I lost my fishing partner last year after spending over 40 years sharing a boat with him. We made a perfect team when fishing tournaments and just really enjoyed each others company. He left one of his caps in my boat that I didn't find until after he had passed. I now wear that cap every trip in honor of him. I miss him terribly.

I've used a Gene Larew 6" Hawg Craw for many years when I want a large craw type trailer. I usually trim about 1" - 1 1/2" off and thread it on the hook. I've also used the 5" Larew Biffle Craw.

I always have at least one rod with a spinner bait tied on - and sometimes two on the deck. This past weekend over tow days of fishing I caught more on a spinner bait than jigs or plastics.

All of the options listed would be good choices and I wouldn't have a problem with using them. Some of you may laugh at me but I can assure you I would have a 1/2 oz. Johnson Silver Minnow with some type of trailer to attack what I see in the pictures, especially if there chance at a really big fish. I've caught too many bass over the past 50+ years in such places on that bait to rule it out.

I'm with Catt. Use an Oldham's jig with a Gene Larew Salt Craw trailer. Been using this set-up for 20+ years and see no need to change.

I live in south Louisiana so the winters are not really that cold. Like Catt, I fish daylight to dark.

I''ve had decent luck night fishing until the water temp reaches 55 degrees. After that, not so much.

I've used a 4" curl tail grub or a Zoom Split Tail trailer for years on spinnerbaits. I use the following colors exclusively white/pearl, silk chartreuse, Yellow (in muddy water) or Glimmer Blue almost 100% of the time.

This. I can guarantee you a bass will eat a jig at night.

You might have to pay about $120.00, but the Merrell Moab 2 gore tex hiking shoe is legit. I've used it for fishing in rainy conditions for years.

Many years ago I was fishing a landlocked oxbow of the Mississippi River that is highly developed with houses/camps and boat docks. It was early February, and the weather was terrible. Temps about 45 degrees with light rain off and on and the wind was blowing 15-20 MPH out of the north. I had a phenomenal day fishing a heavy jig on windy banks wherever I could find rip rap. The fish were right on the bank in water one to three feet deep. I tried out deeper but had no luck at all. Every fish came from extremely shallow water.

I'm partial to the 4" and 5" tubes made by Right Bite Baits. These tubes are heavily salted and tough enough to last for several fish. I only carry the following colors.
