  1. They also have GYB DT Hula Grubs for $5 a pack, lots of colors, click the Clearance section
  2. Last chance tackle has 25% off swimbaits... thinking about buying a 9" slammer, @Bluebasser86 what do you think?

I can hear them fine. Also, to be fair, the sound is going to be way amplified under water. All that being said, I don't think Livingstons are worth the money. I got some for cheap last year and they're perfectly fine but not worth full price imo
  4. Good point but without any lures it will be hard to put that knowledge to use Texas rig is probably easier to start with than dropshot.. And I think you could use a 3/0 on all of those plastics and be fine. @Gillroid 9000 I think you have a great list there. If there's one thing missing it'd be pliers
  5. Yea I lost a 25+ once too
  6. You can still run a trailer hook after you've attached a trailer
  7. Cordell Gay Blades are popular too. My Cabelas doesn't have them, so I've tried the Cabelas brand blade baits and they work well too!
  8. 7.2, and it doesn't have a small line capacity, it holds more than enough
  9. Sure you could spend another $20 and get something better, but that will always be the case! Get another President, you won't regret it.
  10. He has a point. I personally would stick with the baitcaster, just use thicker braid and/or don't cast so hard
  11. I have the 843 and it's preeeeettttyy limber. Almost too limber when you throw anything that dives deeper than 5ft or weighs more than 1/2oz. You might want the 845.
  12. Daiwa does make some really nice spinning reels. The Pfleuger President is popular in that price range too.
  13. This exact same thread was just on here recently:
  14. A Steez SV TW on an Edge Black Widow
  15. Bass specifically, probably 10 years ago on Toledo Bend!
  16. Am I missing something or is the link broken?
  17. @rippin-lips have you ever upgraded your bearings? The model Zillion I'm referring to has 4crbb+4bb+1rb, are the CRbb's any good or would you swap them? Honestly I don't know much about the placement of bearings in the reel. If I'm sending it to this guy should I have bearings added to the knobs or does that require new knobs? What about the worm gear? Does a carbontex drag add or take away from the strength?
  18. That is a good deal for him! I'm sure he will like the reel. Shame on the guy that failed to spool the reel properly We do the same thing at Cabela's, we put free Cabela's mono on any reel someone purchases. I will admit that I've messed up on some people's stuff before too Thanks for sharing
  19. What do you find to be the advantage over, say, a RES? I don't hear yo-zuri get talked about too often, but I've always liked the look of their baits.
  20. You guys who super tune their reels... Would you recommend any upgrades to a 2016 Zillion SV TWS to make it more smooth or pitch better? I'm about to order 2 of the reels, and I know that they'll be some of the best reels out there for this application, but in theory if I were to want to perfect an already excellent reel, what would you recommend?
  21. huddbaits.com has 20% off + free shipping no minimum. No code required, just add anything to your cart And Cabelas has free shipping no minimum code Holiday6
  22. No chance that Cliff Pace designed a series of cranking rods. These are most likely jig rods with that "parabolic" action you hear about. The rod I use for my Hudds is considered a moderate taper You kinda said it yourself though, an Edge rod designed by Cliff Pace is gonna be a good rod, I think at 20% off you're gonna be happy with it. I'm saving for a Black Widow myself
