  1. Was she wearing a Mook T-Shirt? I'm sorry, I didn't notice. I was starring at a beautiful pair of eyes.
  2. What Catt said! Community Dark Roast. Luckily, I found a store here in Tulsa that sells it.
  3. If you will be trailering the boat, then you will have a hell of of a time trying to get the boat back onto the trailer with only a bow mount - especially in windy conditions.
  4. I guess I've read the wrong threads. Avid, you had the OTHER shoulder done? What are you, a masochist? Now I understand why I haven't received the photos of you canoe. Get well soon and all best wishes.
  5. Well, I guess I've been living in a Cocoon. Avid, what surgery? And why is it that everyone knows about it but me?
  6. Old One Muddy!
  7. If Glenn is so humble, why did some nitwit with a tuba play "Hail to the Chief" every time Glenn walked into the room while we were at Lake Fork?
  8. I have a friend of mine who used to work in the local sorting room of either FedEx or UPS. I can't remember which. About 90% of the sorters were part timers who worked two jobs. They started in the sorting room about 3:00 AM and were usually finished by 7:00; just in time to go to their day job. There was one person who stood at the top of the sorting belts and was supposed to direct packages by zip codes. Since personnel turnover is about 100%, there were times when one of the lazier, don't give a S##T longer term employees would be placed at the top of the sorting belt and would just go through the motions. This resulted in a great many misdirected packages. At the bottom of the sorting belts were a group of folks whose responsibility it was to scan the zip codes and to place the packages onto one of the four or five delivery trucks parked in their bays. When those folks at the bottom of the sorter started receiving misdirects, they would, litterally, throw them as far as they could away from their belt. If the package was heavy they would just push it off the belt onto the floor. It truly amazing how many packages these folks deliver every day, intact, and to the correct address.
  9. I got back into fishing about a year ago after a 25 year hiatus. In my ignorance, the first rod I bought was an Ugly Stick. I caught some bass with it fishing plastics. Then I discovered this site and started asking questions just like you. One of the guys who responded advised me to give or throw the rod away, and suggested I buy a $350 G. Loomis rod. I can't afford a rod of the caliber, so I set my sights a little lower and bought myself a $125 St. Croix. The difference in the sensitivity is like night and day. I can't even imagine what a $300 rod would feel like.
  10. If you have one ore more photos to post, go to GLenn's FAQ section and read the instructions. BTW, If you received the photos via e-mail you will have to download them to your computer before you can post them.
  11. No Parent should ever have to bury his/her child. The grief is overwhelming and it consumes you for a while. And then one day you look up and smile, and there are no tears, just fond memories that will last forever.
  12. Personally, when I'm in the mood for screwing, the Swiss Army Knife is the very last thing that comes to mind. ;D

Credit Muddy, not me... he won me over at Fork and his tireless work and devotion at the "home" are truely inspirational. I'd pay to hear his whole testimony. (leave this one alone, Mike!) Who? Me?
  14. Carl, I really like the new handle and avatar. Your new avatar is a lot more handsome than your photo. ;D ;D ;D
  15. Riskkid? 35 mph into a boat slip? I know nothing. I saw nothing. I heard no smashing of timbers and bending of metal.
  16. Hey Guys, I thought I was the grammer cop around here. Regardless, thanks for the help and your knowledge to be able to help. I guess Stratos284 thought periods were just for women. ;D ;D ;D
  17. That was funny! I'm gonna us it every chance I get.
  18. Carl, mine has been grey and wrinkled for years. Are you using some sort of hand creme to remove the wrinkles?
  19. Walk up to the gal and say "Hi, what's your sign? I'm a feces myself."

Muddy, going back to school at your advanced old age is a tough thing to do. You know very well that street smarts often work much better than book smarts in your line of work. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be most probably have book smarts only, and therefore insist on college level education, assuming it will help you do your job better. Regardless, WELL DONE. BTW, are you going to have a Graduation party? If so, Avid said he would pay my air fare if I wanted to attend along with him.
  21. Learning to dirve with a stick-shift is like learning to ride a bike. Once you learn how, you never forget.
