  1. Great post Tom! I promise that I will never breathe a word about the little problem with putting your boat on the trailer.
  2. I want to publicly thank Ghoti and Mary for hosting the wine and cheese parties on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Their kindness and generosity is exceeded only by my beauty. I also want to thank Firefightn15 for some of the most outstanding Cheddar I have ever tasted.
  3. Is the name of the lake a closely guarded secret? Is all other information about this Record catch a closely guarded secret? :
  4. Gee, that must be really tough on the guys who decided to bail out of the BR Road Trip at Pickwick and fish KY Lake instead. :P Read the Road Trip thread.
  5. Wow! What a trip! Our best guess is that there were over 900 bass caught by our group. Big-O and the two Sergeants caught the majority - say 400, but that leaves 500 for the rest of us. Not bad for a group of twelve guys. Just out of curiosity, it would be interesting to know how well the Chicken group did on KY Lake.
  6. The get together will be held in the Board Room at the lodge. It will be held there every night. The room will cost $125 for the week so a small contribution from each of you ($5?) will take a great burden off my wallet.
  7. I'm too lazy to go back through all of the posts. Please let us know who will be arriving in time for the wine and cheese gettogether on Sunday night.
  8. Don't even think about buying that boat until you see the motor running; either on ear muffs or preferably during a test drive.
  9. I assume that a BFH is a large hammer with sexual desires, but I have never heard of a blue wrench. Someone please clue me in.
  10. Thanks Wayne. Looks like I had another Senior moment. I'll edit the list.
  11. My deepest condolences. Regardless of age, it's always tough to lose a loved one.
  12. Well, you narrowed it down to a mountain range. Would you care to share with us what lake you are planning to fish?
  13. Well, I have good news and bad news. First the bad news. Due to personal issues, Triton21 may be forced to drop out of this year's trip. Plus there are now several others who are doubtful. Now, the good news. It now looks as if we will have no problems accommodating all of the non-boaters. The following list represents the situation as I know it at this time. If there are any errors or omissions please let me know. 14. It all boils down to two things. When it comes to the use of the English language, one is either ignorant or lazy. Ignorance is the result of circumstances usually beyond the control of the individual, and that's fine by me. Laziness, regardless of the situation, is unforgivable. There is an old saying; "You have only one chance to make a good first impression." Those of you who choose to be lazy with your grammar and punctuation will be perceived as such. i.e. lazy.
  15. Well, what did you expect? You didn't tell us if the motor is 12 or 24 volt. You didn't tell us the length of the shaft. You didn't tell us if the motor was bow or transom mount. Knowing that info MIGHT allow someone to SPECULATE on the thrust of the motor. Based on the information you have provided, I can tell you without a doubt that it is a trolling motor that has a certain amount of thrust. :
  16. There is nothing special about the power cord. Any 16 or 18 gauge two conductor wire will work as an extension.
  17. Which hair? Beard? Armpit? ;D
  18. Long Mike replied to Deb's topic in Everything Else
Go ahead Debbie, rub it in.
  19. I'm a little confused. You mention that Nurse Jackie adds, but what is she adding? ;D
  20. Don, it's obvious that you have a faulty Coulomb Coupler on your framistan. The faulty coupler will induce a Tesla capacitive discharge throughout the wiring of both the truck and the trailer, causing extensive extensive damage to both. I suggest that you replace the coupler and then install a ten mega-henry terpoidial coil between the positive terminal of the framistan and ground.
  21. I believe that Tracker's Trailstars use the Dexters, or something very similar. Trailstar has been using them on their trailers since at least the eighties. What a great lube system! When you grease the bearings the old grease is pushed out from back to front. Short of pulling the hubs and re-greasing by hand, it doesn't get any better than that.
  22. B.O.A.T. - Break Out Another Thousand
  23. I will ignore Speedbead's very accurate remark. I just want to let all of the Road Trip attendees know that my boat (150hp Tracker TV-18) will be available to any qualified boater and his passengers on Tuesday. Naturally, I will require a nominal $10,000 security deposit. 8-)
  24. Unfortunately, at my age, my rod tip is always pointing down. :'(
