I concur with rodnreel11. If the title is valid, then the registration is valid until its expiration date. All you pay is a small fee for transferring the registration.

The most important issue is to MAKE SURE than when you buy the boat the you also get the TITLE to the boat, and usually to the motor and trailer. If you don't have the Titles, then you can't get it/them registered - period. Do not offer to buy a boat unless the owner can show you the Title(s.) If he says he lost it/them, then tell him you will wait until he finds it or gets a replacement. By doing this you will avoid buying a potentially stolen boat. Regardless, you will save yourself a lot of aggravation when it comes to registration time. In Oklahoma, Titles are required for the boat and motor, but not the trailer if it is under a certain length. Each State's laws are different, so do your research.

Off-brand? BPS and Cabela's chargers are made by Pro-Mariner. BL, regardles of who makes them, the chargers with the BPS lable on them are apparently not worth a crap. Just go to their web site and read the customer reviews. I can't speak for the Cabella's brand. I haven't researched their site and am too lazy to start now. I bought a Dual-Pro instead. Best I can tell, Guest and Dual-Pro are highly thought of.

The road trip attendees have roughly doubled in number every year. This year we were hoping for around a hundred attendees. With the economy the way it is, and with so little response to this poll, I figure this year we'll be lucky to have forty people. That's about twenty less than we had last year. I'm greatly disappointed, but not surprised.

Is there anyone else out there who is even remotely thinking about joining us on the Road Trip?

Ghoti and I fish Trophy Country at least twice a year. It is a 20 sq.mi. area that was an active strip mining area back in the twenties. There are over 100 ponds and small lakes that have been stocked with LMB. It's not unusual at all to catch 50 bass in one day of fishing. It's a little pricey at $100/day/person, but boats, trolling motors and batteries are furnished. The cabins are clean and well appointed. Room rates are about $35/day, regardless of how many people are in the cabin. The owners are very congenial and will go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy your visit. If you log on to Google Earth the property is located at N 39.591145, W 92.541162. Draw a five radius circle around these coordinates and you will get a good idea of where you will be fishing. PM me if you want more info. Edit: Just to clarify, the room rates are about $35/day per person.

I agree with Hot Rod. Do not mount the lights to your deck lid. Also, I would suggest that you use red LEDs. That way the lights will not affect your night vision.

Kelly, Yup! It was me. Now, what would it take for me to white-knuckle you into the same situation? As all of us road trip veterans know, the road trip is a hellofalot of fun and Everyone is welcome to attend, but there are some folks who might be a little intimidated by all of us regulars. Many do not understand that it's just a bunch of guys and gals, regardless of experience, who want to get together, tell lies, go fishing, and have fun. Many do not understand that the road trip IS NOT A TOURNAMENT. It's just for fun!

Well this old fart (me) has actually paid real money to go to a theater and watch a number of movies in the last twenty years. The movies exclusively included all of the Star Wars and all of the Lord of the Rings episodes. Avatar is next - this week-end.
