  1. It's a personal opinion, but if you guys would learn to fish with lures instead of Cheddar you would probably catch a lot more bass.
  2. With all due respect, I suggest you do your own homework. Why should we do it for you? You can Google Endura 55 as easily as we can.
  3. Tom, here's how it works. First, we get a handle on how many people are bringing boats, then we get a handle on how many empty seats there are on those boats, then we get a handle on how many people are needing seats on those boats. We ask the boat owners not to fill up their empty seats prior to the actual road trip, because it will allow the members needing seats to meet and fish with a different boater every day of the trip. Based on previous history, there are always more seats available than there are butts to fill them. I hate to disappoint you, but signing up early does not put you in any better position than the person who signs up at the latest possible date, i.e. April 1. Most boaters will block a day or two to fish with their buddies, but almost all of them will leave days open to fish with new members. Others, me included, will lend their boats to other members in order to fish with another boater. I have been much more verbose that I usually am, but I want to emphasize that this trip is for fun. It is not a tournament. Everything, with the exception of the Wednesday night Banquet, is fluid. We make up the rules (if any) and schedules as we go.
  4. Bob, to the best of my recollection around sixty people attended the road trip last year. We are hoping to have around a hundred for this year's trip, but with the economy being what it is I doubt we will get to that number. We'll see.
  5. I agree. My check went out, first class, last Tuesday. First class is supposed to reach its destination anywhere in the contiguous forty-eight within three days. It hasn't shown up on my bank statement yet. But, I'm keeping a close watch for further developments. Nag, Nag, Nag. OK, checks and registration forms received from Uncle Leo, Old Cranky, Fishing Rhino and Steezy.
  6. Hey Scott, this is what I think of your opinion.
  7. Catt, LMAO!!!
  8. Christmas Cards? How about Get Well cards? What was it; sixteen times that Favre got knocked on his ***?
  9. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! THEY WON! NO MORE AINT'S!
  10. Glen, I feel your pain. I am currently re-carpeting my boat. Nine hatch covers down, none to go. Ten pieces of plywood decking, coated with fiberglass resin, re-carpeted, and none to go. ****-pit right-side panel, done. Three vertical surfaces left. Waiting on weather.
  11. Tom, I'm driving from Tulsa but you have such a nice looking ride I'm willing to meet you in say, New Jersey just to have the opportunity to ride in that truck. Besides, just think how much gas it will save me!
  12. B.L., I tried your suggestion today and it worked like a charm. I had the lever off within three minutes. Many thanks, my friend! Scott, if B.L.'s idea hadn't worked I was was going to try yours next.
  13. I've removed three bolts that attach the throttle assembly to the housing with no results. Are you saying is that all I have to do is to pry the lever off?
  14. Joe, all the cabins have BBQ pits. I didn't check for fire pits. Assuming fire pits are available, be advised that neither human sacrifice nor Wayne's chicken will be tolerated.
  15. I have a 2004 Mercury XR6 150 hp outboard. I am re-carpeting my boat and need to remove the throttle/gearshift lever from the side panel. Unfortunately I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to remove that lever. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, the boat is a Tracker TV-18 if that helps any.
  16. Here are a few pictures of Fishfordollars new wrap. Sorry, I don't have any 'before' pictures.
  17. Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent to Lowrance. It's a crying shame that Lowrance, notorious for it's lack of Customer Support, should lose the only bright light it had to offer. I will miss Linda Colt and her wisdom. Linda really cared about her customers. Best I can tell, she was the only one who did. God only knows how much money in lost sales Lowrance will lose due to its failure to put the proper emphasis on Customer Service. And here is their response. Customer Service is the top priority for Navico, Inc. Linda Colt exemplifies what we want to achieve with our customer support. Linda has been a truly valued member of the Customer Service team and we did not wish to see her resign from Navico. We want to assure you that we have heard all of your inputs, and we appreciate all the passion that you have shown in this matter. We are continuing our discussions with Linda. Thank you for contacting Navico.
  18. Linda Colt's departure from Lowrance has created a nation-wide uproar among Lowrance users. The article below was published in today's Tulsa World newspaper. http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/article.aspx?subjectid=358&articleid=20100121_29_B2_Inatim636995 Lowrance's headquarters is located only a few miles from my house. I think I'll drive over there today to see if there are any protesters out front.
  19. Nah, I don't have to do a thing. My boat arms itself after the alarm is tripped. It's a tin boat, so after the alarm is tripped the whole boat is set up to deliver 120 volts to anyone who touches it. Rather than mess with my boat I would suggest that you kick the empty wine boxes out of the way and come on in to the cabin and join the party! BTW, the party in my cabin ends promptly at 9:00 P.M. Kent needs his beauty sleep. It never works. He is still as ugly as the day before, but I must respect the wishes of my cabin mate.
  20. Stratos the problem with people like you is that you are afraid to say what you really feel. ;D BS aside, all opinions are welcome. AND welcome to Bass Resource!
  21. Welcome! Looking forward to your fish stories!
  22. I don't want promises and excuses. I want checks and registration forms. Only then will you be officially recognized as a road trip attendee. ;D
  23. Back to Top. Just trying to make sure that as many members as possible know about the new road trip site.
