  1. I'm a sponsored rollerblader, so I do that a whole lot. I really like snowboarding and wakeboarding too. Wakeboarding is probably my favorite thing to do besides fishing, rollerblading 3rd because I've been doing it for so long. I used to be in a band, still play a little bit of guitar. I'm really getting into photography as well. I got too much goin on ;D
  2. I bought one in like late feb. and never used it until like april. We were pre fishing for a tournament and I didn't feel like getting a spinnerbait out of my box, and my brother had a chatterbait out so I was like whatever. 3rd cast I caught a nice 2.5 pounder, and the next day at the tournament I caught all of our keepers, and a nice 4.2lber all on the radlures chatterbait. I really only use it at this one reservoir though, I have so much confidence with it there. Great lure, I usually let it sink, and just rip it as hard as I can all the way in.
  3. Sweet, how do you get the certified, if you can?
  4. Thats too bad about your finger and swimbait, but congrats on the win man!
  5. That boat is lookin good, and similar to mine.
  6. PS! I can't believe i forgot to put this in there!!!!!!! I caught a double on my lipless crankbait, it was a Largemouth and a Pickeral! Has anyone had this happen before? I was like WOAH
  7. ;D My buddy pigsticker on here had his All star EXPLODE when he got a snag with a jig. He was pulling it, no harder than he would fighting a fish and all I heard was BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The line, and rod snapped, and the rod shot off and is now part of the C and O canal. ;D
  8. Thanks everyone Yeah pigsticker is right. I actually had my 35 MM camera up in the trailer and completely forgot about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > > >. I've never been more angry with myself. I never take pictures of my fish with that camera though, so I think thats why I forgot, and not to mention I was so happy I wasn't thinkin straight.
  9. What a great weekend down at Gaston...exept no camera!!! Got down there Saturday morning and started fishing right when we got there. We got a ton of rain there, but the water level was normal, and clear. We didn't catch but 1 Saturday. I caught him on a white and purple backed crankbait at the mouth of a cove in about 12 feet. The fish were really swiping at everything so we missed quite a few. My uncle, and his friend were also fishing at the same time as us and they caught 6 each, all on plastics but 1 up shallow. Sunday however was a bit different. We fished shakey heads in the morning at my brother caught 3, and I caught 2. All off of docks in about 10 feet of water. No real size to them but atleast we were catching them. My brother got off the boat and I was fishing by myself for about an hour, caught one second cast after I dropped him off, and had another few bites, then it happend. I pulled up to a dock with a launch next to it, and was throwing my lipless crankbait. Nothing hit it on the first throw, so I threw again and it felt like I had a stick stuck on it so I was like WTH. So I keep reeling in this "stick" and realize my line is running 5x as fast as I'm reeling, and I was burnin this thing so then I was like hmmmm. Kept reeling and there it was. Fought him to the boat and netted him, it was a nice lookin fish. Turned out to be 5.74 pounds beating my last fish at 5.2. Took it back, showed my brother and little sister then released her. Beautiful beautiful fish, wish I could have gotten a picture!! My brothers cell was dead, my Dad's truck with the digital camera in it was in the shop and he was actually going to get it at the time I caught it. Talk about bad luck. Thanks for reading Matt Strykul
  10. Last winter I dropped my phone in about 2 feet of water while untying the boat. I had to get the net and scoop it out too, but it still worked fine. All I did was turn it off, and my dad used a compressor to blow the water out. Good luck
  11. One guy I know used this stuff called honeycomb-aluminum, super super light, and just like wood. You should look into it, but I'm sure its expensive.
  12. shutter speed 1/60, and F2.6. I believe both of these are too low, concidering you were outside in the sun. I would turn these down, the aperature(F) is probably what you need to play with first, I can't suggest what to set it at but definetly set it to a higher number. It allows how much light is allowed in. Go outside and take some pictures and play around with it. Good luck, hope this helps and have fun.
  13. Beautiful fish FishChris! Wish I saw this photo yesterday, we had to bring in a couple of pictures with different lighting for photography class, and that would be perfect side lighting! haha.
  14. That's a nice lookin Porche. That green isn't my taste but still a beautiful car.
  15. It's just a bullet weight with a screw in under it for the plastic so they don't seperate. You "screw" the plastic into it.
  16. there ya go bud
  17. I get bream at the top and sometimes like a foot down popping at the line, but never had the swimming off with it.
  18. Are you sure it is above the line? Perch, bluegill, all grab the ends of plastic tails and it just feels like a bass bite on speed. Your line should be fine.,
  19. Carolina rigged jerk bait? ? ?
  20. Those things look pretty dang good!
  21. I love Gaston, but have never caught a single fish with the chatterbait there! At the occoquan reservoir, thats a different story
  22. 4/0 EWG gamakatsu for me. Very very rare that I ever lose a fish once it's on.
  23. I agree, do you have an offseason of fishing to? Not really...actually I fish pretty often in the winter ;D Just something to keep me busy when I'm not fishing.
  24. I would love to see this. I really hope to make alot of jigs over the winter.
