  1. I second this! I love beast coast
  2. Fished a new pond today. Pain in the arse to get to. Far drag with the kayak. But I’ve been wanting to fish it for years. Caught all my fish out deep. Most of them were on my hand tied jigs. They were chewing them. Missed a few fish. Got one on a 3:16 mission fish few whacks on that. Got one on a Berkley underspin a rage swimmer combo. Got one on a tube jig. Missed a fish on BiCO jig with a beast coast trailer. Couple of missed fish on a real prey. bright sunny clear water. Fish weren’t shallow. All deep where you can’t see bottom. No idea what I had for depth and water temps. No fish finder on my yak. Always fishing blind
  3. I know strike kings makes something like that
  4. I’ve caught more largemouth the smallies on my hair jigs.
  5. That’s awesome. I’ve only made jigs so far. I need a better work shop to build rods and other lures.
  6. Yep days!!! I’ve caught a few fish over 5 this time of year during the day. Got out yesterday afternoon. Did well. Got 9 bass. Struggling to find em at first picking off random fish. Then sunset back to my usual are I fish. Ended up getting 6 here. They were loving the jigs I made and tubes. My jigs, tubes, chatter and a whopper plopper got em.
  7. Big wakebaits, jigs, chatterbaits, I’ve had good days this month!
  8. I’ve caught some big bass this month
  9. Fished a big pond yesterday with a buddy. Only been here a handful of times. Slow bite. Only got one fish late into the trip on a chatter bait, went 4lbs
  10. I love solid colors for topwaters! I don’t really pay attention to patterns! Solid black, white, orange, chartreuse etc.
  11. It’s not a heavy bait! Just my normal bass gear. The 130 is the middle size the 190 is the beefy musky size! They are awesome. I caught some big fish on during the day on WPs
  12. I usually do good in the summer on a whopper plopper 130
  13. I would find another lake! To me that doesn’t sound fun, but I’m used to fishing ultra clear
  14. Funny thing is I don’t switch it up!!! I don’t bass fish much in the summer. But I use the same baits in winter as summer but I’ll add a few more summer baits.
  15. I’ve caught some big fish using it as a chatterbait trailer in the middle of summer
  16. I need to get back to freshwater my striper fishing has been absolutely horrible. Can’t seem to catch em no mater where or when I go
  17. Those are big split rings. I just like having hook options. Same hook. He uses round bend 1s so using round bend 1/0s will make it slow sink
  18. Bigger hooks often works. My favorite glide you can change the sink rate big time by upsizing or downsizing the hooks. It’s floating glide so I can make it slow sink or a really high floating glide
  19. That was a nice fish @DogBone_384 I haven’t caught a striper since April. I think it’s time to go back to bass fishin!
  20. I slow twitch on the bottom. Especially in clean bottom gravel bottom. Not places loaded with weeds. I fish em in deeper cleaner ponds.
  21. I do a lot of bottom fishing for a variety of fish. Salt and fresh. I’m a feeler. I can feel what my T rig is doing on bottom. You’ll feel the bite. I love fishing T rigs at night. Always creature and craw baits though. Also jigs at night work very well to
  22. Their baits smell good
  23. Never tossed a c rig in all my years of bassin. I’m a jig, trig and soft swimbaits on bottom guy.
