  1. I'd completely agree with you!! I can't imagine doing all my fishing with one one rod/reel setup!! Also I just watched John Cox finish 3rd in last weekends Elite Series tournament using $100 Abu Garcia Veritas rods!! Not to mention Steve Kennedy finishing 2nd using Shimano reels that are at least 10 years old!! ?
  2. My kids woke us up a little before 5am!! ??
  3. I got a Garmin UHD 93SV to go on the bow of my boat!!!
  4. I smoked some pork chops tonight and they where delicious!!! You can't go wrong with apple wood and pork in a smoker!!
  5. RIP Chuck!! It seems like he was a fearless man!
  6. Lake Darling is good for bass and crappie. Coralville Reservoir can be really good in the spring if the water doesn't get too high. Pleasant Creek was recently renovated and they added a ton of structure plus they stocked smallmouth in there too. And of course the upper Mississippi!!
  7. I'm up here in Iowa, and I've got a Ned Rig tied on at all times. It's not the most exciting way to fish, but it pretty much always catches fish, anywhere from clear water lakes to the Mississippi River!
  8. Yep, I remember taking my bass boat out in February last year! Definitely the first time I had ever done that!
  9. We've had some 50's and 60's the past 3 days here in Iowa and I've seen several people out in shorts and t shirts!
  10. That is awesome!
  11. Dang man, thats a nice cat! I wish I had a pond to fish with fish like that!
  12. Always fun to watch! Especially when it comes down to a couple bidders determined to buy a certain car! I love me some American muscle cars!
  13. Same here. Trying to cast one handed just feels awkward to me! There's no way I could use a pistol grip rod!
  14. -1 here right now! I can handle normal winter cold like 20's even teens, but this single digit and negative high temps sucks!!
  15. I'll do some Ice fishing to pass the winter .
  16. If you are new to baitcasters I would recommend starting with mono line because you will most likely blow up a few spools in the learning process! I'd suggest picking up some berkley big game in 12 or 15 lb. It's cheap and it's pretty good mono.
  17. The new Colorado's are so much better looking than the original ones!
  18. You should throw a few of those in the livewell, bring them home and put them in an aquarium!
  19. I'd say you have a perfect multi purpose set up! It should work great for all those techniques. It would work well for chatterbaits and Texas rigs too. Have fun with it!

  21. I'd say an Ugly Stick and an Abu Garcia round baitcaster with the bait clicker would make a great combo for that kind of fishing!
