Anyone throw Pink Worms or baits as a first choice or consistently?
I have pink trick worm, Senko and Fluke and only caught total of 1 fish with it. I also used to catch bass on pure white in small pond but not a good success here in Canyon Lake.?

flurocarbon abrasion
I’m not sure if I can post the link to you tube where they test abrasion on both mono and fluorocarbon. Search for mono vs fluorocarbon you would see if mod delete.

Scotty Rod Holder Problem
Thanks for the wd40. I too found that Scotty rod holder is easy to get in but super hard to get out. I used white lithium grease spray to get mine out last time.

Looking for Best finesse Daiwa baitcaster, anyone try the new smaller tatula 100?
Yup cast differently I can cast 3/8 oz jerkbait only 30 yds but cast Senko about a mile and a half ?

How Did You Catch Your First Bass?
I used to be bait and wait most of my life until I moved here in US. Even at beginning of my fishing here still bait and wait type and mostly saltwater at jetti or charters boat. My first bass came from Saltwater rig “spider hitch dropper rig” with 6” worm (kind of drop shot). Up until now I still use this rig when drifting for catfish.

Looking for Best finesse Daiwa baitcaster, anyone try the new smaller tatula 100?
@iabass8is right about finesse, but what is finesse in OP mind? Weightless Senko? Or weightless finesse worm? 3/8 oz finesse jig? or 1/16 oz Ned rig?

Looking at Inflatables boats/kayaks/canoes for fishing.
Do you have a lot of wind in your area? How big of a lake you plan to fish? Inflatable kayak and even light wind doesnt match. Some of them have skeg built in but some don’t, even that tracking is still suck. I still have brand new sevylor Tahiti kayak sitting in my garage, wind is the thing that scared me. On the other hand my friend paddle in his sea eagle 370 once awhile and fish with it a few time. Now we both got Float Tube which is a lot easier to fish and maneuver, easy storage and can rig for fishing easier than inflatable kayak.

How to fish muddy/weedy lakes?
Shallow/small pond bass trend to roaming around shoreline chasing bait fish. In shallow mud bottom with weed, I would try weightless trick worm or zoom Super Fluke or Fluke Jr.

ElaZtech and Jigs
Just like @Bluebasser86commented, Elaztech plastic is okay with most of the skirts. I don’t use Elaztech plastic on jig since most trailer pretty durable by itself and I trend to lose jig long before I have to change the trailer. I use Elaztech trailer with chatterbait though, because even super slow crawling those plastic still give some action.

Colors I have not used or had luck with
My favorite for top water color. Over the years, I caught totally ONE freaking bass from Pink worm.

Green Curado E5 7.0:1 RH
Just because of hype from those popular young YouTubers. BTW I’ve seen good condition 200E would go for 135, but you can buy 200i good condition for less than 100 or brand new 200K for what you would pay for 10 years old reel.

What do you want to master?
Call me crazy, I think I bought about 50-60 Jigs for this year mostly cheap brand range from 1/16 - 3/8oz. I want to master dragging/hoping jig without snagged.

Do I need a weight for a wacky rig?
Just a nature of how you rig wacky style you won’t get a long distance with Senko weighted or not. Now you can buy a lot of weight type hook for Senko, which I sometimes use, weight when fish deeper water and when on kayak where I want Senko to sink faster. I use from 1/32 - 1/16 oz for stick bait type, and these I use the most.

Anyone Use Break Free CLP??......
I use rem oil spray to clean worm gear when it get super dirty.

Reel Maintenance Tools.....??
How many reels do you plan to clean each year? IMHO it is a lot easier to send to local professionals to clean the reel if you can find one, especially those of spinning reel. I do clean my 12 baitcaster reels sometime but for a full service, I’d op for professionals. I don’t clean my reel very often once a year or maybe longer for full dry clean(taking apart, clean out old grease and add new grease, flush bearing) and have professionals look at it may be every 2-3 or 4 seasons.

Curado 70 vs Everything Else
Depend on how comfortable to palm the reel with your rod. Chronarch is a little bigger than curado. And also line diameter and line capacity you want. Chronarch is 150 size reel but curado is 70 size reel. The biggest line I can use on curado is 0.013” 14lb/#12 fill almost full. I’d have only 10-15yds left after long cast (40-50yds). With 150 size spool I can have 0.015” line diameter and still have plenty left. I use my bantam mgl for heavy jig but curado 70 for everything else, Texas rig, Senko, Fat Ika. BTW they both good all around reel that can handle finesse all the way to heavy jig.

Texas rig hook size
I use 4/0 for most of my plastic so I can buy a value pack. I use with rage craw-menace, 5-6” Senko, Super Fluke, havoc pit boss, missile bait d-stroyer and 7.5” worm, including brush hog. this might help.

Perception Pescador Pro 10 worm storage
I don’t use mike crate on my yak either. I carry about 3 boxes, terminal tackle box, lures box and day box (what ever I plan to use that day) two of the box in front well, the day box under seat. I also carry a small plastic binder (fit about 7 bags of plastic) attached to my seat along with my dry bag. The so call fishfinder compartment, I have my scale, pliers, knife, spare dog leash and whistle stored. Everything else like net, anchor and my backpack stay in rear well. I was gonna glued a pieces of foam to hang my lure or hooks on those side wall don’t want it lay around on floor where you can step on it. Oh don’t forget plastic fish grip, this help a lot with treble hook, unintended catch (catfish) and to be able to leave the catch in water when you prep the scale.

Best Solvent to Flush Bearings
@crankfate, the pinion and shaft bearing (x-ship) are there to support spool when loaded. There is no need to flush these bearing and grease doesn’t hurt them at all, unlike those of spool bearing. You won’t gain any distance nor any smoother cleaning them, but you would gain quicker grinding noise from them, just like a lot have complained. you will be surprised to hear this, Shimano doesn’t use any grease nor oil on those pinion and shaft bearing, but intensionally brush special grease (not drag grease) around the outside to block water to get in. I was surprised too, to hear they don’t use any lube at all, but never have second doubt on the grease part. In my old day every time when I open my reels (Abu 6500) I alway add/brush grease around the rim of side plate before put it back together, this to help block some moisture to get in.

Do chatterbaits tend to catch big bass?
My PB @7.7lbs also caught with chatterbait, but I caught a bunch of smaller one like 1-2lbs on it as well. @TOXICI found that swim Senko is better trailer than Zako. I bought a whole box kit just for that.
