  1. Coywolf? I forgot my wife had a cat killed by coyotes way back in the day. Cats are definitely much more in their wheelhouse, but domestic dogs will also kill cats
  2. That’s why farm raised fish often have higher contaminant levels than wild caught, their diet consists of only of fish food, which is ground up contaminated fish
  3. Jigs come thru grass great for me , yours must have some slime mixed in
  4. We have those too, mostly for catfish. The irony is commercial fishermen sell the same fish to grocery stores
  5. I’ve never fished NY but the other northern states I’ve fished actually have meat fishermen. In the south you can be publicly shamed and potentially beaten for eating a single bass
  6. That would be nice, but also illegal in almost any waters I fish. SMB have to be 18” to harvest
  7. You don’t have to be near a farm to have coyotes, like @gimruis said . I hear them nearly every time I’m at my mom’s house in a subdivision within city limits. Years ago her newsletter said there were 400 dogs in her subdivision (probably closer to 500 by now ) and a coyote has never reportedly killed one (and these are the HOA type of people that talk about every detail of life way too much). So if it occurred, word would spread like coyote seed It’s not impossible but easily avoidable
  8. Preach it! A couple of great takeaways from the article. One is the fact that everyone thinks a bass automatically gets bigger when you let it go. That would be nice but it’s not the case most of the time. Only a select few have the potential to get huge, too many mouths to feed. Plenty of studies have shown old bass that were just a pound or two. They often plateau in size and keep on living. Another factor that people don’t want to believe is this paragraph I took a screenshot of unfortunately anglers cannot wrap their minds around this and probably never will
  9. I’m hoping my wife bought them all because she saw my phone open to Mike’s page and said “is that a fly??” 😂
  10. And I think my gps data says Nashville . Every time I look up anything on my phone it’s in Nashville. Game times are all central, stores are all Davidson county, etc
  11. Right back at ya. 🦃 I’m too hillbilly for mind muscle connection, I just figure there are a lot of threads so I tighten it until it’s tight, never had one come off 😂 now I have hit a rock and broken a prop trying to drive thru rapids, would not recommend
  12. The race to 8-9??
  13. I just get soaked, part of living in a rainforest. Even those pros will tell you (off the record) that you will get wet no matter what you buy if it’s raining hard enough @Pat Brown just catches 9 lb bass in a poncho
  14. Hmm I’ve never used a toque wrench for a prop, I must have the magic touch. I also don’t have many horsepower so maybe it doesn’t matter ? Running a 16 yr old engine and it runs perfectly so I’m not terribly concerned
  15. Hannibal lecter admits in an interview that he ate a guy with some fava beans and washed it down with a nice bottle of Chianti. Thats why @12poundbass posted the GIF of Hannibal
  16. @Jigfishn10, never seen silence of the lambs?
  17. I don’t know about the fishing, but I’ll never forget the day the squirrel went beserk in the sleepy little town of Pascagoula
  18. TnRiver46 replied to Catt's topic in Everything Else
    Prayin for yall Catt!
  19. Fluke and curly tail white grub on jigheads, topwater walking baits even if it’s cold, I’ve had them hit it in 47 degree water
  20. I ❤️ wilderness camping as well, my wife is even more fond of it than I am. Having bills to pay gets in the way. You can do it in TN with way less bugs, might be more like 75 fish tho and most of them small
  21. Somewhat limited for SMB in GA. TN VA NC and AL have more SMB. Not sure about SC, seems like jocassee has them
  22. Excel is great line , I’ve hauled in some monster striper with the 12 lb mono and a million SMB with the 6 lb
