  1. Ah you’re right about events 5 and 6, the broken up columns got me. The calendar police shall negate the misdemeanor
  2. I’m pretty sure they all lose a practice day for next tourney in the event of weather delay , not just the top 10. That way it’s the same for everybody also they only go back to back weeks once for 2 events, not twice for 4 events the calendar police shall consider this a misdemeanor citation
  3. Slings and arrows incoming!!!! Here it is Im not one that gets upset about the schedule, in fact I can’t wait to watch. Any tournament director/organization will tell you scheduling is by far the hardest part of the process hartwell is always one of my favorites!
  4. Fishing stuff???!! Always wishin for that 😂 mostly on my list is time to go fishing in the daylight, we start getting more of that very soon !!
  5. Yall are determined if nothing else! Why not just switch brands if all the others are better ? 😂
  6. Or……… if you’re like me, the extra shooting line will wrap around the throttle assembly, or the tie off cleat, or your shoe, or your hemostats clipped to your fly bag, or the steering column of the outboard, or the dangling keys in the ignition, or the trolling motor plug, or the metal things that open the hatch lids…….
  7. Yes bighead and also silver carp are the newer invasives that cause problems , the artists formerly known formerly known as Asian carp we’ve had lots of common carp in the waters since…. I’m not sure. Maybe since European settlement ?
  8. They are all good, I’ve used the cheapest worst kinds and they all work well. I was pleasantly surprised with 4 lb Shakespeare mono
  9. @SkippinJimmy, always tip your sandwich artist for a job well done
  10. I wish we had decimated fishing this good where I live! We don’t have an Asian carp within 400 river miles (same river as KY lake) and 14 lbs is a big bag of smallies here
  11. I’d bet somebody fell thru, but their death certificate was lost a few thousand yrs ago. And their first responder was late to scene
  12. There was a tribe of native Americans that had a name that translated to something like “people that walk on the water” because they were known for traveling across frozen lakes. I wonder if their terrestrial buddies called them marching morons 😂
  13. Art there’s zero actual since to capturing fish with a rod and reel
  14. I made great grades in school all the way thru college but I went fishing and forgot my boat once
  15. Gotcha! I was thinking we were on the same latitude or close to it 😂
  16. Really ? I’ve seen people drive 4 wheelers on the surface of Douglas lake
  17. Youve got way more experience warm water fly fishing than the author of the article so I would ask you for fly recommendations before him haha
  18. No rod lockers, 2 Jon boats, one canoe, 5 kayaks. If I took my time babying the rods and being careful not to break them, I wouldn’t have any time to fish. I broke one the other day putting my daily driver car into gear I would say I’ve broken well over 100 rods, it happens to every single one given enough time. I use them for fishing, not display I would have to say kids stepping on them is the most common breakage I do use mostly rods under $50 but that’s because every time I get a nice expensive one, I break them just like the cheap ones so I cut my losses 😂
  19. On dale hollow and similar highland reservoirs, open water fish chasing shad miles and miles is the pattern and it’s all year long
  20. Ive swam in 65 degree water and it felt chilly. I’ve fallen into 47 degree water and it felt even more chilly. Cold is up to the eye of the beholder , seals probably think any liquid is warm
  21. The same way we ran boats wide open throttle beofre GPS and electronic maps
  22. I tie my spot locker to the end of a rope
  23. @Further North Eastern time zone for the win conversely, when we camped on an island in Lake superior this summer, we went to watch the sunset every night and it took till like 10:45 PM to see it. Granted, I don’t think we ever figured out which time zone we were on, I think it was Eastern, but the ferry operated on central time
