Whale strike
Actually two women kayaking ended up in a humpback whales mouth. They don’t swallow large objects due to the baleen so they were spat back out might’ve been the video @slonezp linked

I’m the worst, live and die with the worm- Happy Birthday @WRB
Happy birthday!!!!! I’d give ya a 20 lb bass for a present if I had one- Just one - but a good one
Those 6-7 lbers in cypress trees definitely love a trick worm!!! Got one that way myself years ago similar size to the one @Koz caught down in south Alabama that’s about the only thing I can fish in a cypress jungle without getting hung up . Tried flipping jigs inbetween them and lost like $20 worth of them in an afternoon- New lake in the mountains
Nice ! Looks like East TN north chapter- Just one - but a good one
As long as your hand isn’t near the tail that’s a legal move. The post is on here somewhere of a guy in TX that kept a bass tail in his gear and made the fish appear longer in photos, thus that rule was born- Using our senses to locate bass
I’ve never seen a study done but I would bet that’s why you have so many healthy bass in your waters. Common Carp are useless scum- Using our senses to locate bass
Everybody around here says copperhead smells like cucumber. I’ve never smelled that and I’ve been close to them plenty but I did smell cucumber once walking thru the woods. Didn’t see a copperhead but I started walking faster anyhow- Using our senses to locate bass
If I had a nickel for every carp I’ve bombed a topwater at…….. id have like $35 😂 I always tell my buddies the bass will usually jump more than once in the same spot and you’ll see the shad jumping trying to get away. Eventually you can distinguish the sound difference in a bass engulfing something and a carp just jumping for fun. But better safe than sorry so I bomb the topwater anyway- Using our senses to locate bass
When the pros recently fished the TN river in Alabama they said “FFS doesn’t help on this river because of all the trash fish” 😂 Its a drum party all day and night and the gar are always invited I love gar fishing and I always sight fish for them @Zcoker, I had an osprey fool me once in the saltwater. I saw them repeatedly diving so I paddled my tiny kayak over in excitement. After a few minutes of fruitless fishing I sat and watched the birds. An adult bird was just teaching a juvenile how to dive bomb into the water, they weren’t grabbing any fish and neither was I hahahah- Just one - but a good one
😂 I caught a spotted that had been on a moonshine bender once, I barely lived to tell about it- Just one - but a good one
Spotted bass diet is purely crack cocaine and Marlboro reds- Just one - but a good one
Laying it there is easy, getting it to hold still with its mouth closed after you let go is what I can’t do. Easy to hold the mouth closed and get a measurement but as soon as you let go to take the pic they go wild and flop all over if you leave the mouth open they just lay there still on the board.- pet peeve with cooks, such as those guys on tv or youtube? mine is -
My problem with cooking shows: having to watch them when my wife has the remote control thank god for bass resource in moment like those- Just one - but a good one
I have a buddy that fishes livewell tournaments and he tried a kayak tournament. He said “that’s way too much work trying to get the photo” and never fished another one for as much as they champion releasing the fish, they could release it dead and nobody would ever know the only reason I try to close their mouth is to see if I can legally eat them 😂- Have you ever tried Carolina rigging or drop shotting in a river?
I’ve done lots of both, they work well but both are snaggy. I much prefer the soft plastics on a jig head for rivers but a change of pace can be good. Since Carolina rig takes forever to retie I use pinch on bullet weights when I know I’m going to be losing them. They are called bull shot my problem with the drop shot is usually current twisting the rig but it will catch them. I need to rig it weedless more often but I just love the small nose hook- Just one - but a good one
Awesome fish! It’s hard for me to keep their mouth closed also, especially with SMB- Spinnerbait!
- Spinnerbait!
I’m going to need some pike next week but I can only take 40 lbs of gear including tent, food, and all. And my hooks have to be barbless and only taking a small 2 piece spinning rod so I don’t think spinnerbait will make the trip - Post a photo a day!
