  1. You know you’re a red neck when you’ve done one of the things @Bankc just listed……… and I have…….. unhooked everything and put jumper cables from the crank batt to the deep cycle and drove around for a while not recommended 😂
  2. Finally getting normal weather with afternoon highs in the 50s
  3. Freestone stream in steep terrain? hiding in a rock formation. I’ve reeled a grub in what appears to be lifeless shallow water while wading and they spawn out of nowhere and attack
  4. @FishTax, I caught a yellow perch and like a solid 1 lb gizzard shad today ! What a coincidence did get an SMB too, on the board for Feb
  5. @12poundbassdriving by the river
  6. Got out briefly, water is raging and 43-45 degrees
  7. And this was just practice for the tournament
  8. That’s what I was thinking, don’t go fast if you can’t see, then you won’t have to whip the wheel being right next to another boat. GPS makes you think you can still do it, but it doesn’t account for boats or floating logs @Logan S, they def have too many boats at the high school and college level, 500 is crazy
  9. ^yep, that’s why the “accidents happen “ phrase doesn’t bother me. It’s very true
  10. @Logan S, kayak tourneys aren’t immune to drownings
  11. They’ve had a boat full of high schoolers and an adult go over a 100 ft tall concrete dam and drown , you gotta use your head to drive a boat @A-Jay is 100% correct as always when it comes to boating safety. I have to drive around all day and half the night and the things you see on the road are absolutely shocking, especially from Nissan Altimas and big diesel trucks . It’s not surprising people drive boats the same way
  12. Getting mad ain’t gonna help, imagine how his mom feels. If somebody sent me out into the fog with a 250 horsepower I would idle
  13. I swim in my $30 life jacket all the time, it’s comfortable and floats . I was also given two NRS that aren’t quite as comfortable but still float. the price only matters to your brain and wallet, the $6 orange ones around the neck are excellent and what they modeled inflatables after
  14. The brightest areas are kind of at the southern end of the native range of many northern fish species and the northern end of the native range of many southern species. So my answer would be an overlap of habitats the west is too dry
  15. Saw a cool photo today
  16. ^pretty good comparison, both probably got voted most likely to helicopter into the end zone trying to hurdle a defender in their high school year books id compare Lamar to Mike Vick. The moves Lamar can make are jaw dropping but when it counted he just tried to stay in the pocket
  17. Dang it! Send it down here!
  18. Yes I heard about this, it was dense fog on a practice day from what I understand. Prayers to the families involved . I heard a striper guide was the first onto the scene when he heard the collision
  19. I know you didn’t ask me but black or obsidian
  20. We are on the same kind of areas just opposite sides of the ridge
  21. I’m guessing that means you’re closer to the piedmont ? Hard to have a pond when the water is rushing downhill
  22. Bruce Hornsby had the range I’ve fished Alaska to the Florida keys, would rather stay home and catch dinks 😂
  23. As much as I enjoyed the @Team9nine HOA pond reports, I definitely enjoy the public reservoir ones even more I can’t really relate to small private water as we don’t have much of it and what we do have , nobody will let you fish
  24. Sounds like @MN Fisher fishes eerily similar water to mine, tellico and ft loudon are both 14,000 acres with abundant morons
