That double hook definitely helps on the front, I’ve found a few like that in tackle shops
  2. Just an ironic post, the boat ramp near my house never closes. This spring we were chatting in the parking lot admiring a livewell full of white bass after dark. A guy in a security vehicle pulled up and said the ramp was closing and we should wrap it up. There’s no gate or anything. I said “what about night fishing?” and you could tell the guy had never heard of night fishing 😂. I guess he was the new sheriff in town or something, people quite literally live in their vehicles at that ramp. I haven’t seen him even roll down his windows since then, just drives thru the parking lot and then leaves
  3. Bassmaster ratings went up 11% last year……. They must have forgotten to send randy B this info
  4. More prayers headed y’all’s way
  5. It was pretty much the opposite when the split happened in ‘19. Not much support for BASS, most throwing dirt on their grave. You can find it here if you dig deep enough. And then the “dink fest” happened and a lot of folks just didn’t like the product. Then lots of rules/format changes and BASS just kept doing their thing normally and won a bunch of folks back Don’t tell Roland Martin!
  6. What’s the specs (pun intended) on your PB crappie @Team9nine?
  7. Lee?? He won a classic without an outboard and may have won AOY or came really close against wheeler etc scoping. He can more than hang, scope or not . He also went to auburn. I would imagine he is in the top three anglers in the world, definitely top five. PS Nixon is a class act, not a turn coat. His peers are KVD and Roland Martin, there’s a legitimate argument for Nixon as the GOAT
  8. I’m sure they realize that now, they’ve paid a price. Us calling them names won’t do much good at this point
  9. Yeah and powroznik and hackney requalified thru the opens easily. And Larry Nixon used the same legend exemption that J Lee is using, did that make you lose any respect for BASS? I would personally only lose respect if the didn’t allow Nixon and Lee the exemption, they are indeed legends it’s a moot point tho, J Lee would dominate the opens circuit .
  10. Found a little more info, two of them swam to shore and made a fire. No life jackets even onboard the canoe
  11. Hmm Water temps are above 60, they must have ventured a far ways from land or couldn’t swim

The only reason I’ve ever heard people fish heavy metal with spinning is so they can drop it faster, the line coming off the spool faster not diameter/sinking I like some decently thick line to get them loose when stuck. I use mostly 3/4 oz or 1/2 oz , far too heavy for any of my spinning rods
  13. Legend exemption, took the general’s spot. The general also used a legend exemption but nobody was up in arms because he’s the freaking general @AlabamaSpothunter, let’s be honest he wouldn’t have any trouble qualifying
  14. It’s alright we still think you’re a weirdo 😂
  15. You beat me to it! Good to see him back
  16. Nope, somebody saw a wooly worm so it’s nothing but blizzards until may. Sorry

I like mono and a MH baitcaster, they can sling a heavy bait like those when jumping whatever you’d throw rattle traps on should work

Well I buy used tires in the heart of the poor community so I’m looney too. They still seem to roll, 1 out of 4 has a slow leak 😂
  19. Glad you’re back and of course catching LM as always

I lost two smallie on a blade bait Saturday night, one jumped pretty high. is it that cold already toxic? Looks like you went full Eskimo , flip flops are still in play here
  21. I like trying new stuff, the fish can get wary. But a fluke will always make them attack……..
