  1. Great read, except cotton is your best friend where I camp in the south. It’s low on the list of things that will kill me haha
  2. Sounds like every night around here, you can walk across shad . And I never catch anything haha
  3. Nice one @galyonj! pretty pics @ol'crickety
  4. Glad they cleared the blockage! ?
  5. @ol'crickety, awesome evening trip!! We got several medium 15” class fish tonight
  6. Congrats!!! Ten fingers ten toes? First child so I guess it’s a current PB
  7. I was thinking they meant methanol free in the rubber bulb
  8. I have a fluke or a top water ready like that for schoolers. If you have it stowed away nicely, the fish will be gone by the time you cast, guaranteed I’ve nabbed many big smallies by having it ready while my buddies are fumbling trying to unhook it from the reel. You’ve got 5 seconds or less this one comes to mind, it was chasing threadfin and my buddy was fumbling with his while I was already hooked up
  9. Four pound avg. could be an 8, 5, 3, 3, and a 1 combination, etc
  10. And they don’t necessarily require boat ramps. There are many places we can access long stretches of shallow river in canoe/kayaks that boats can’t go . I spent all weekend in national wild and scenic river floating 20 miles and camping, no motors allowed. Then again it’s all rapids so they wouldn’t work
  11. I’m always looking around for a cliff or bridge or something, somewhere for temporary refuge. Spent 30-40 minutes under a bridge just last week haha. Put the rods down lightning all around. Had two weather checking friends with me, it wasn’t predicted what I do like is live radar , that’s about it
  12. I get welts from fish teeth, not just the bass thumb. I’m allergic to everything haha. An SMB finned me the other day and my finger doubled in size
  13. Not as fast as mud…….
  14. I think “fall” is about 6 months long where I live so it may not pertain ………… But, deep clear strip pit, I would be using a sparkly finesse worm weightless to start. Small 1/0 or 2/0 light wire hook, the slow fall is tantalizing. I’m guessing they mainly eat bluegills in such a body of water so a swimbait might be fun too. I only fish one rock quarry near home but I always have success fishing the old roads they used to drive the heavy equip down into them on
  15. ^the masked man revealed!!! Nice hat!
  16. I gave up checking weather forecasts many years ago
  17. Fall: when mosquitos go back to hell where they came from
  18. I cancelled my TV yesterday, I think I was only 10-12 years behind on that trend pretty sad when it costs more that electric/sewer/water combined
  19. 47-49 is my fav water temp but we won’t get there until after the fall
  20. Listening to football while fishing The hickories that hang over the dock And the brown fish
