  1. @IndianaOutdoors, best you can do it run way up and let max amount of time pass before floating down and fishing thru. Or like you already have , fish down first and come back up. Try to have some escape plan if you can’t get back up, another ramp downstream and have someone move your truck/trailer for ya. Or Uber back up haha
  2. The wind rarely blows here at home and it’s usually sunny. When I go up north, I check the wind and add 10 mph
  3. I think it’s the same one both picks just tricked out in the second shot
  4. That bike is sweet tho, I wish I had the skills
  5. Harsh reality: it’s almost always sunny and calm once you leave the borders of Ohio
  6. This just makes me want to go camping again ! ( I went camping last weekend…. ? )
  7. I made a birdhouse once but it was crooked
  8. They always open their mouth to show teeth, sometimes growl and hiss but they are ten thousand times calmer than a coon in a cage. I am usually trying to catch skunk coon and groundhog so I typically just open the door and let the possum walk away. I’ve come across them in a crawl space before and just grabbed them , wouldn’t dream of doing that to a raccoon
  9. He actually won the co angler tourney at st Lawrence, he’s a hammer as well
  10. Well look who my buddies friend drew this morning
  11. We don’t have any soft bottom rivers, I just grind rocks occasionally haha. I can run in 6-8” but not 3-4”. Jumps on plane instantly and will go with prop halfway out of the water. But when the dams start pushing 18k cfs, it’s a very slow ride upstream. Like 5-7 mph. I’ll usually just bring a regular prop boat if that’s what’s happening
  12. @Darnold335, yes. Allows me to fish jet boat water without having to fork over jet boat money. Granted I must fish it very slowly haha. I use oars and oar locks
  13. The good and bad of the longtail, I can only go bout 13 so I don’t tear it up too bad and I have time to make adjustments. But it takes me an hour to go 13 miles hahahah
  14. I’ve been watching it a bit, looks a lot better than watts bar haha
  15. I know what you mean, I’ve got a longtail on a semi v bottom that I run the rapids with. Dry docked it a few times
  16. I learned when electrofishing that reading water can be overrated. The fish don’t have to be right where they should be and none of my spinning reels have braid on them
  17. I’ve never had a lithium battery but I’ve had a tiny boat fire once or twice. Mine was always red wire touching black wire . Judging by the pic of your fingers, you had a little more significant blaze, mine was like a bic lighter sized flame
  18. I usually just catch them on accident. Our most common possum job is removing a dead one from a crawl space, fun stuff
  19. My friends always make fun of me for wearing cotton, but we aren’t in Ontario haha
