Well, sometimes you get lucky and today that was me We were just sitting around the house today after work and about 6 pm I convinced my wife we should go for a boat ride, even though it was a tad windier than normal. She was driving the boat and knowing we didn’t have much time, tried stopping at a few usual spots and there were pleasure boats sitting in most of them. She stops at a random clay bank and I started working the RAD 1.5 squarebill and got a small LM, lost a decent SM that short lined it and I tried boat flipping while the fish was still bananas and he fell back in. Then I saw a kayaker down the bank we were fishing so I trolled to the opposite side of the river and cranked the rip rap. I thought I was stuck in a gob of milfoil and then felt a fish, then it jumped…….. a nice LM! Don’t get those often near my house and Ive hooked 2 in 2 days! It jumped several more times but stayed pinned, I had it with both hooks. Guess she wanted it! Ended up going somewhere between 20 and 21”.

I saw some good deals on them in a local shop but I didn’t pull the trigger, I might need to swing back by. I was going to wait til winter but I’m sure they eat them in summer too

That one eats the 1-2 lb bass that you normally catch! Looks well fed, shark of the golfing community

How do you cook them? I’ve had friends try bowfin and they said it was pretty bad, like jelly. But I’m guessing snakehead is much more flaky/white meat because every seems to love it

Whoa, I hadn’t checked any results, nice job. Like I said don’t know about Oklahoma lakes but 6.5 is a great tournament fish anywhere , especially a 200 boat tournament
