You’ll be fine, my brother has lived right where you described for 20+ years. He takes his daughter to like 30-40 Phillies games a year, they’ve not once been shot in all that time
  3. People always use the fact that it takes them 10 years to get to that size up north. That really has nothing to do with anything, that just means they spawned more times
  4. They still do that at a few places in TN
  5. My buddies that actually catch with a WP say they quit using it because it always had the fish hooked too good, like one bleeding out the gills and the other hook in the side of tail somewhere
  6. Every time I’ve ever fished braid to leader, the line breaks right in front of the knot. The knot always remains intact but the leader breaks right next to the knot instead of at the lure. Even on the first cast with a fresh leader. My solution was just quit using leaders, they only prevent you from casting for a few minutes each time. Or make you fiddle around in the garage all night with your toes
  7. Hahaha. No thank you
  8. I’ve got 8 lb seaguar basix fluoro on a spinning reel and don’t use any special juice. It works fine, much easier than when I put braid on there
  9. Poke it out with weedeater string. If it’s still not peeing there’s a problem somewhere else. Usually it’s something like what @GreenPig posted, but I had a different problem. Mine would only pee with some throttle, it would stop at idle speed and start beeping. I got a new impeller and had a buddy help me install. The old impeller was in perfect shape. The problem was the small intake tube was slightly askew. It’s hard to line it up just right when re installing the lower unit, especially if only one person is doing it
  10. I got a chance to fish a bit Wednesday evening, life keeps interfering………. but I threw the 3.0 crankbait for a while again. This time I had it on 12 lb mono and it was pulling up grass off the bottom in 6 feet of water. I haven’t tuned the bait at all and it seems to run dead straight almost every throw and achieve it’s maximum depth. I caught a couple dinks but I think the fish were feeding on the surface and I was rooting down in the bottom grass. It was nice to fish a big shallow flat in the river just to see how deep it would go on a consistent basis, I’m thinking 5-6 feet.
  11. I’ve fished Edisto a couple times in June and everyone told me the fall was the time to be there. All the shrimp apparently move into the shallows.
  12. Yep! That’s all my buddy Craig drinks, and my friend will’s fiancé is also a fan ^that sounds like firewater
  13. Got any corrosion on the ring terminals? that or the shear pin is broke or not lined up right
  14. Gotcha. I haven’t jackall terribly often but I bet the specialty stores have it
  15. What kind of frog is it? I can cruise the aisles of the bait stores around here for ya along my work route. “Just doing some R&D boss!”
  16. He’s a musician himself so he’s got a good ear!
  17. They always overtighten everything, it’s the curse of power tools. Finish guys will put 37 nails in a 5 foot of baseboard too, just cuz it’s cool to hear a nail gun go pop pop pop pop pop pop pop
  18. I’ve eaten the drum (sheepshead), not so good
  19. Those redhorse fight like crazy. People say they are good to eat but I’d rather not haha
  20. Turtle gotta eat too!
  21. Oh I use it between jobs to “activate the chill” on my sweat soaked shirt. I love it And of course at home . But when camping it’s crazy how much weight you can lose sweating
  22. My boss decided we should climb a 40 foot ladder
  23. 1% survival of 40,000 eggs for a fish that spawns 8 years = 3,200 smallmouth bass
