I’m staying at the lake this weekend! My wife is photographing a mountain bike race near there so this cuts about 45 minutes off her drive. Only problem is I think I’ve got to take the dogs 45 minutes in the cab of my truck. Bluh. My little hound is like pigpen from Charlie Brown, he Has his own dust cloud

The paddlefish meat is also excellent according to my buddies that have caught them. I’ve had sturgeon filets before at a fancy hotel, very good flaky white meat

Pretty darn good from what I’ve heard. The eggs are sold for big money

It’s pretty much either brown or green for me, It changes by the day and I can check it by driving over a bridge when I leave the house every morning

The other day I was standing on the bank reeling in a worm to re cast it and a nice bass tried to swipe it off the surface when I lifted it out of the water. The water was pretty cold too

I’ve used plastics on them after the rubber band on the skirt rotted away . Crawdad and speed worm I think, seems like I caught a couple but nothing big

Well I got skunked on striper again today so don’t do all the things I did. My buddies that catch them use big flukes on jigheads

Anyone that knows me would definitely say I have mental health issues haha. A variety of them. Oh well I just roll with it I guess

I think I’ve only made the follow up thing with a different bait work once. It’s worked a thousand times just throwing the top water in there a second time though

The last time I caught a fish with the wind blowing was over a year ago (or at least that’s the last time I remember it happening). much rather have super calm conditions offshore (like avatar pic)

They reported 47 on grand lake I believe, seems like ozarks should be somewhat close in temp

The bass pros sure do jump a lot of sandbars and tear off lower units for having fancy navigation It’s kind of like my job, I can’t hit paydirt without thoroughly abusing my work truck
