  1. I don’t think mine was a laser but my motor guide wireless was nothing but trouble . I had the plastic gears rebuilt once and about a year later they wore out again. Repair man took me to the back of his shop and there were 10-12 trolling motors just like mine that he was working on. I got a different motor after I saw that . That being said I may be able to help by memory. The foot pedal (I think) was left and less power on the left and right and more power on the right. The keychain thing was nice to have , maybe put a new watch type battery in it
  2. Sometimes they like it fast, sometimes they like it sitting still. Never fish any lure only one way
  3. It’s delicious!!!!
  4. They have axles at places like tractor supply and northern tool and equipment. Also anywhere that works on semi trailers can do all the work for you. There’s a lot around Knoxville with the word “trailer “ in the name of their company
  5. If you’ve never been grounded on chickamauga then you haven’t fished it much
  6. 5 pm when I got off work yesterday....
  7. It was sunny and almost 70 degrees so I had to go for about 40 minutes after work . Current was ripping well over 40k cfs
  8. Here’s some flack!!! Jigs are the only thing you can fish in the late summer/early fall vegetation around here. That or a frog, everything else gets gobbed up in it
  9. Logs and he reeled in a floating dock by the steel cable ! It was no match for the Fluoro and fairy wand
  10. I saw that too! Hilarious video, especially how he dubbed the chewy voice in when the bass would jump
  11. Glad you were able to get out, I can go years and years without getting one as big as 5.7. I hope your dad continues getting better
  12. Large swimbaits, sometimes jointed, that glide back and forth. They are often huge and shaped just like a fish. Not a minnow size like a keeper crappie size. I feel like they started as Muskie baits and evolved into bass lures
  13. my home away from home, gov Ned mcwherter park . Here’s his boat.......
  14. Before spring, I like to mentally prepare myself to watch all the fair weather fishermen launch their boats for the one and only time all year. I’ve been fishing all winter so I can take a break. First warm Saturday of March, Get some ice cold beer into a cooler and a lawn chair and sit in the ramp parking lot until late evening and just laugh and enjoy!! This guy jackknifed, that guy launched his boat and it wouldn’t start and floated 500 yards down river. Oh wait? What’s that red thing under water? But of course! An f250!
  15. You look at it! The only device I know that measures water clarity is a secchi disc. Works from land or boat. Even then you look through the water to use the disc. So I recommend to dip your lure into the water and estimate how far under the surface your lure disappears. Viola, you have about as accurate of an estimate you will ever get or need for water clarity
  16. Yeah I got boxes full of them. Spinnerbaits crankbaits and jerkbaits
  17. I used the grocery bag trick the other day. Worked great
  18. I can send you a pic when I get home from work to see if it’s the right thing. I changed the plug on mine to match the female receptacle that was already in the boat
