  1. There's an island 200 yards from my dock and it's one heck of a tough swim there and back. And I'm part fish. Always use PFD when going canoeing in the ocean at 11:30 pm in the dead of winter. What the world were they doing???
  2. I probably don't count as young anymore anyway haha
  3. If you pay the entry fees, I'll give it a whirl!!!
  4. Thank you much!
  5. There is no magic bullet. Standard answer in 2020 is Ned rig, although I’ve never used one. Standard answer in 2010 would be Alabama rig (don't have any of those either). Standard answer in 1995 would be slow down and downsize your bait and line size. The bass have not changed but the crap people will sell you has
  6. Oh man........ love the deep c rig
  7. They can in price tag ! we are trying to catch smallmouth in shallow rivers and keep the price of the boat under the price of the tow vehicle. I don't catch fish in 2 inch mud flats and don't need to throw mud into the air.
  8. Heck no , my entire motor and long tail kit was $800. I've ran the rapids for a decade and it's still good to go. New motor would be $300 -$350 from harbor freight if need be. People have been running these kits in Thailand for a long time. No need to spend more unless it's your prerogative
  9. This is kind of what I have for shallow water. Exponentially cheaper and better for all around conditions than anything with the word jet in it
  10. That begs the question, is there anything related to fishing that you can’t do???
  11. No but I saw wheeler doing it up north on you tube, I’m gonna give it a whirl if I can find a jigging rap at any stores around here. I’ve heard it’s mainly for ice fishing
  12. @Dorado, those are some monsters
  13. I forgot to mention I did watch bassGeek’s video of the show and felt like I was there! Haha. I had a few buddies say they picked up some nice plugs
  14. Yes and there's plenty of places on bass resource where small Creek fishing is "what this forum is all about"
  15. I wish they were battle scars! I think I left it next to some plastic worms. Somehow it doesnt rattle
  16. Thanks for posting this, I have an American flag that was hanging on the house I bought that is shredded by weather/wind. I’ve had it for several years and never knew what to do with it, does anyone know how to contact the American legion? All I knew is that I wasn’t supposed to throw it away
  17. Stay strong! Thanks for the update
  18. I just skipped it again this year and went fishing 3 of the 4 days. Attended a Cookout on the one day I wasn’t fishing
