  1. Thoughts and prayers go out to their families. A jon boat went over the same dam last year and a couple folks drowned
  2. Right now I would fish right below watts bar dam in the current (just under 100,000 cfs)
  3. My buddy just had to replace the transom in his deep v but he still loves it. He said some of the screws went down through the cap from the top and let water in. So when replacing he drilled some new holes in the back.
  4. My flavor is zoom junebug trick worm
  5. I cook them so I don’t have to vomit over and over, that’s why
  6. I always use one, no matter where
  7. But Texas rig stick worms don’t work as discussed above........
  8. Hahaha they are just pushing product. I bet you can hang. I locate fish on my $200 depth finder and catch them all the time. And my anchor was free
  9. No peanut butter? Wonder if anyone has ever tried that
  10. How did you get into my dog lot to take that picture??
  11. I predict that humans will continue to make faulty predictions as well as faulty infrastructure until the bitter end. And hopefully I will eat as few ray oysters as I can between now and then
  12. I think 3 of the top 6 are from East TN. Not exactly sure if it’s the entire field but it’s the score tracker
  13. Ive never been to Kent but it appears to be a fairly populated area with lots of water. The pond suggestions are coming from people because the odds are better for a 10 lber there. It’s possible in the public waters but less likely. We are just trying to give you suggestions on how to gain access to big bass. In a larger town/city you don’t have to get invited to a VFW, there should be all kinds of places and people to talk fishing with and potentially gain access to a lunker spot. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you’ve just got to fish the public water hard and hope for some good luck. A 10 lb bass from public water in Ohio could be hard to come by, I would try Erie if that was my goal.
  14. I feel as though a few biologists said life as we know it would be over due to a lack of fresh water by 2020 as well.....
  15. Can’t live with em........ oh wait never mind about half of us do! Hang in there champ!
  16. What he said! I think Kent is a much bigger place than where I frequent in Ohio so you probably have plenty of options to run into landowners. The VFW is a hangout for vets and their guests, and also the only place to find people to talk to for a few miles in any direction where my fiancé is from. Her whole family was in the service so I’ve had the pleasure to listen to some stories in there (several of which involved big farm pond bass and pictures!)
  17. Shiners, threadfin Shad, some places even use skipjack and tilapia
  18. I’ve got permission to dabble a couple up there, which part of Ohio you talking? Where I’ve been there’s an entire town of about 100 people, most of them my future in laws and all their relatives. Seems like a good strategy there would be offering to help out with some farm chores in exchange for fishing privileges. The VFW would be a good place to network, because it’s the only place!
  19. I would try a farm pond!
  20. IVe seen that before. Almost the same truck
  21. What’s so special about Monday?
  22. I never fished one but some old timers that would know said the cotton cordell king spot was the best plug going for a long time. I sure would like to try one
  23. I’ve still never used an underspin. What type of water/situations do y’all use them in? I can’t catch a bass with a spinnerbait to save my life, maybe an underspin can bridge the gap
  24. My brother just returned home from Vietnam healthy, although I don’t believe it was a big concern there
